Discord, the Lord of Chaos, is a long lived entity of unknown origin. He takes the form of the once thought extinct race of draconequus but many theorize that he is not one himself. Discord hated ponies - which was on par to the course with draconequus - even though one can think he was more apathetic of their plights and found enjoyment from making their lives a little more hectic. Because he never killed ponies (from what is believed...) ponies just saw him as an awful nuisance bordering on something that needed to be dealt with.

He was dealt by the Mane Six after his escape from the stone prison he was bound to. After his defeat, he was offered another chance. Something he did not get the first time. Discord's ire with ponies waned bit in that moment, though he still disliked most of them immensely. Finding a friend in the titular Fluttershy, the draconequus' heart softened even more.

Many do not know of this, but his soured relationship with Celestia and Luna long ago ultimately spelled his downfall the first time around, not him harassing and potentially ruining the lives of ponies as is believed.

The babydaddy of many.......

Discord, in my next gen verse has 5(?) children - all from different ponies. Before, he didn't get along with his children but I ended up scrapping that. His relationship with his children and their parents is amicable for the most part.

I....love Discord. I love drawing him and figuring out how to stylize him.
