-          I can`t belive it - said an iguana, watching one of the multiple monitors of the security system. Somebody was outside the tall fence.

    -          What happends? – the Weasel lifted his head a little, he was lying in a uncomfortable position in a little chair

    -          Is the police

    -          ¿what?! – with an agile jump, left the chair and at same time touched the Benelli shotgun that was leaning against a wall.

His partner laughed hard

    -          Is just ONE. ONE cop

    -          Nobody is so idiot. Must be a decoy. Must be a complete legion of them, federal ones, and that guy is just the decoy.

    -          No…all the cameras Works, all the sensors shows nothing. -altough said that, he pressed a silent alarm button, calling 22 gunmen to check all the posible entraces to the mansión. Go there to check what that cop wants. And DON`T KILL HIM outside, somebody could see something

    -          As if that mattered. Nobody will talk against us.

    -          You know what the boss says. Don`t make unnecesary troubles. Go.

A few minutes later, Cody Eleas, a dalmatian dog, was inside the courtyard of Scott Lambrigiano`s Mansion. As a police officer, never imagined be there to other thing tan arrest him and his gunmen, but was some much more important tan mafia and policemen in his mind.

They had taken his gun, radio and handcuffs, of course. Strangely not the shillelagh, and they searched by microphones or cameras here and there, without any result. Honestly, the mafia guys was disconcerted. The last cop that presented himself in that house, at least one of the non-corrupted ones, was almost 30 years ago.

The last corrupted one just left 20 mins ago…

    -          Well, well… what is this? You want to get your life insurance today, boy in blue? You are almost a kid yet. -said a bunny, one that looked lot more evil and tough than the usual one tan people usually imagine- what are you doing here?

Cody studied every Word that he bunny spit. No even one insult. His clothes was of great quality, even his machinegun was in perfect conditions. If a normal gunmen of Lambrigiano looked and spoke like that, his plan could work

    -          I`m sorry. I can not waste time, i have an urgent business to talk with Mister Lambrigiano

    -          Yeah, you should go back with your partners and try to stop the crime! -after that words, all the gunmen laughed again

Cody just replied with resignation

    -          Both know that almost half police Works for your boss too

Other of the gunmen, a seagull, was really curious about what the hell was happened there.

    -          You have brain, then. But arrived here alone, by the front door, and surrender without fight. Why?

    -          Told you. I need to spoke with your boss- stopped, and they added – If he doesn`t like what i have to tell him, surely some of you will have chance to talk with me later before kill me ¿right?

Now the criminals was really intrigued. That boy should be really brave, or was incredibly stupid. But wht if he knew something that could help to their boss and they stopped him? Was unnarmed, without inteligence stuff on, alone, and the boss had lot of security and bodyguards…

    -          Kobe, take care of him. You, you and you too. I will tell the boss that have visits. – said a cat then.- All the others, back to your posts. Still could be a dirty trick

Cody knews that Lambriano was rich, but never imagined HOW MUCH. Almost everything in the mansión was made or had some of plate, gold or included jewelry. Had also classic cars, and all the place was immaculately clean, even around the internal garden of the house. Great Windows everywhere maintained the place full of the sunset light.

Also, was bodyguards here and there, and several cameras and sensors.

With 6 bodyguards walking around him, and, without any handcuff or rope restraining him for his surprise, Cody was guided through brokers until arrived to the “office” of Scott Lambrigiano, the human that ruled several of the crime in that zone of the city. Was all or nothing now. Life or death. And not only for him.

When the tall doors was opened by another 2 bodyguards, he was lead to a chair. The mafia boss, with an beautifull Armani suit, was looking to him with surprise. Near him, a panther was checking quickly his laptop. Searching him into the police files, and checking all about him.

Cody says nothing until the criminal boss spoke first

    -          Well, officer…Eleas. Cody Eleas, right?

    -          Right sr.

“Sr”. Well, at least he knows with who is talking – thought the human

    -          Why you`re here?

    -          I need your help.

    -          Of course you need my help. I just wonder if you want money, a favor, get into my organization…

But he was escaped in middle of a massive jailbreak, and almost inmediatly kidnapped the very young raccoon pup. At least a security camera catched the momento, so the police indentificated him inmediatly. Cody knew perfectly that Lambriano was lying, but he took care to now say nothing about.

    -          Is a very sick criminal. We in the police belive that, as much, he will take 12 hours more before…kill him…and… -just think in the archive potos made him feel sick- well, he never leave a full body.

    -          Well, is their work find him and kill the damn bastard. You are a cop, should be searching him, not talking with me.

    -          Of course i do it. -said Lambriano, suddenly upset, thinking in all the other bosses that really didn`t deserve be called like that, the ones that killed their former bosses to get their places, the ones living in a dream of drugs all the time… - The old way.

    -          And i know that you have a family. -Lambriano froze- A wife, and kids that you mantain far of the crime, but at same time discretly protected from other criminals

    -          I have a wife too, and a daughter. So, i am sure that you have the same fear that I have about something happening to our children. Security or not.

    -          You know well that my bodyguards are the bests.

    -          I am sure that you know how impredictable the crazy people can be.

    -          So, you are here to request help from me, without offering anything. I could take that as an irresponsible attitude.

    -          I offer something to you, Mr. Lambriano. Not my loyalty. I am a cop, so we never will be partners or Friends. But both want our families safe. And Castell doesn`t care if his victims are civilian sons, police sons or mafia sons. I want to capture him, and place him so deepth and far from the streets as we can.

That dalmatian definitly knows how to talk, thought Lambriano.

    -          He wasn`t scared to be here. Or is too stupid, or is really desperated

    -          I Heard some about him. Arrested some of the boys during the few time that he have in service, but he never hitted them if they didn`t resisted the arrest.

    -          Whoa, that`s strange. – The human knew that their men never resisted the arrest. Why? They had already bought judges and prosecutors. It was just a formality out of prison in a couple of hours, or even faster. But several of the cops just enjoyed the fact to can hit the criminals when had chance, at least the ones that wasn`t bought too. Of course the mafia had a great memory about them…

    -          Yeah – the panther laughed – idiot, idealistic idiot. Will live quite few in this city. I am surprised that his own partners didn`t killed him yet.

    -          And yet ...

    -          He is the type of “enemy” that i preffer. Isn`t corrupt, so, never will let us work freely. But at same time, isn`t a menace, because he follow the rules. Is just a Little disturb. Could be a pólice officer of Gotham, but still have honor.

Scott Lambrigiano knew that his boss respected that Word, just as Cody had told.But said nothing, waiting the descition.

    -          I have a family too. And i hate the police, but, if somebody of my family would be in troubles and the pólice could do something, i would use them, discretly, without involve anybody else of the crime family, even if would had to die for that. – a grin appeared in the old face - Just as he did. That boy had guts

In the luxurious hall, Cody was sat in a very confortable sofá, sorrounded by 4 gunmen. Two of them was just watching youtube videos in their cellphones, just making time. The other two, the bigger ones, was watching the dalmatian dog as h was a ninja, able to kill all of them just a momento later than make a move.

So if he makes a quick move, it would be the last…

Several time happened. Cody started to worry a Little. He was still alive, yes, but nothing else happened. Maybe the boss decided to help him but wasn`t able to find Castell. Or at least, not so fast. After all, the city was so big. Maybe he was wrong with him and decided to kill him, but simply was too busy right now to give the order and would happend later. To worse, he started to feel the need to go to pee, but said nothing. The guys near him looked nervous to have a pólice officer there, at least one that wasn`t there to dinner with the boss and talk about “business”

Just a moment later than the battery of one of the cellphones of the gunmen died, a jiraffe, wearing formal clothes, as he would be in a high society party, entered to the room, and walked to the group. The 4 gunmen inmediatly rise from their seats. Cody too, but deliberately slowly.

The jiraffe arrived to them, and gave a card to the gunmen that looked as more “profesional”. And just a moment later, another to Cody.

AN ADRESS

The dalmatian could not hide a big smile. Looked back to the tall assistant, and nodded.

    -          Tell to your boss that i really appreciate it

    -          He have a message for you too. If he see you around here again, will be not so kind. -then, with a gesture, he told the gunmen that lead Cody Eleas outside the mansión. Then they give back all his things.

Less than 20 minutes later, Jim Gordon and a small group of elite cops arrived to the entrace of the old building. The dalmatian told all to his chief so fast as he returned to the pólice station, ALL, about how he found the place of the kidnapper. Gordon first was very upset, not only because he visited the mafia… he could be KILLED! Also, without any doubt some corrupt pólice officer will talk about to the internal investigation Division, to use this to move him out the way and place a new corrupt officer in his charge. But when saw his Young and naive face he understood inmediatly that he knews all that, and and it does not care in order to save the child.

Less tan 2 minutes later, the SWAT team killed the kidnapper and saved the kid. When they burst into the room, Peter Castell was preparing his collection of knives to “make the child free”.
