Yes, also know as a Beechcraft (or just Beech) 18 Twin. C-45 was the military version.

Nope, Beech 18 Twin. They do look similar though. Easiest way to tell the difference is by looking at the tail. In the Electra, the horizontal stabilizer continues on past the tail fins a little bit.

Also turns out, just before checking by here, someone I watch on youtube just posted a short video of a flight in a Beech 18. Hmm....
If you really worried about the cold, maybe could just fly you to the west coast after the glacier visit. While the rest of Canada gets those freezing cold temperatures and snow, we, over here, get those mild temps, and lots of rain. (I tell ya I miss the snow during the winters?)

One of the most used larger bush planes is the "Beaver". Check it out.

Ever been to Alaska? The first thing you notice even stepping off the plane is its size. Alaska is BIG! It's hard to fathom, comprender. I drove the glacier tour between Anchorage and Seward on day when it was nearly 90 degrees 32c. Standing at the foot of a glacier the cold air sinks down off of the glacier and the temperature can be down to 50 degrees 10c. Very cool on a hot day. You can actually feel the cool breeze! Like sticking your body in a refrigerator.
