Description Getting in the fall mood.

Aahh it's been so long since I've posted anything! I've been back in school for a little while now and everything's just a bit crazy. I'm taking a 3D animation class this year, and that's a lot of fun and all, but we've gotten so much work that I haven't had much time to do any personal projects. I've had a little more time this weekend though, and it feels good to finally be drawing for something that isn't school-related. :')

Ooh this is super lovely lime omg!! Legit though you just Jeep getting better and better! I really like how soft everything looks and the dusty looking sky is pretty neat to me the eye looks quite nice. But ya nice work!

Oh cool 3D animation, what have you been doing so far in that class?Β

Thank you so much!!

Well, we just started working in 3D about a week or two ago. Before that we were working on drawing and the principles of art as an introduction. It was nice, for the most part. But right now we're doing texturing, and I'm a little worried because it's getting a bit confusing. Hopefully it will be more fun once I get the hang of it.

You're quite welcome! ^^

Oh cool! Haha that all sound familiar. Are you just working with the basic shapes for the art part or do they upgrade you to full fledged designs? Ya textures can be pretty confusing, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it, what program are you using out of curiosity, if its 3D max I may be able to help.

Well we started off pretty simple, but the class moves pretty fast and so we're working on more complicated things now. You know, just yesterday I thought that I was beginning to understand it a little better, and then today I opened up my files and the textures had disappeared for some reason. Very frustrating.XD And we're using Maya, idk if it's similar in any way.

Ah ok gotcha I see, I quite like the more complicated stuff, like building interiors, vehicles and what not, idk if you guys have gotten to that yet. (Idk I dont know how the school system works in the U.S haha) Oh no shoot, hmm did you delete any of the texture photos you where using for the project or maybe the bitmap orb thing got deleted? Ah I don't think I've ever used Maya before.Β

Our next project is somewhat similar to that. We're going to be creating a still life, and so I'm going to have to model a bunch of objects and everything. I'm kind of looking forward to it. They may have been deleted, but I'm not sure. I think the problem was that I didn't save them in the correct place or something? From what I've heard, some other people were having problems with that too. Next week we're going over texturing some more though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to find out what to do then. Maya's okay, but apparently it's known to have some weird bugs, and that makes it a little tricky to use sometimes.

Ooh that does sound pretty fun! ^w^ Ah ok gotcha I see, Idk what Mayas, Β texture menus looks like so idk how saving is done. If its a free program then thats rather ok given the bugs and stuff, idk I guess speaking from a 3D max perspective glitches and what not where highly uncommon only issue was it was a 30 day subscription but luckily the school covered that (surprisingly) Eh oh well. Best if luck with the next part though!Β

The program isn't usually free, although I'm pretty sure we have the student editions or something like that which are. But it shouldn't be any different, so I don't know what's up with that. And thank you!
