Just a temporary ref (I'll need to update it when I get around to the comic she's in) of my sassy mermaid. Y'all might remember this lady from Horses can fish that I posted a few years ago now.

Bit of backstory/personality

Amara (or Ama as Dezran calls her) is a bit of ditz who talks too much... usually to herself. Having spent most of her life alone in a lake after her family vanished she often forgets others are around even when they're sitting next to her.
She's the epitome of lazy, spending most of the day just floating/laying on her back with a thousand yard stare just lost in her imagination. But she's also incredibly curious and has little fear of the world often getting herself in trouble trying to figure out how something works.
She's rather condescending when it comes to things about the water and life in it. Been there, done that, bored to tears by it all. Boredom is very much the bane of her existence and cookies the salvation.

Lucky for her she's got Ran, her centaur friend, to have constant new adventures with (and to keep her mostly out of trouble). Having a friend along as they travel the world defiantly makes the trip to nowhere more interesting.
