Rina will forever be my favorite for playing with line art. All the scales and dark accents are a lot of fun
Wanted to try working with hatching again, but then it just turned into black fills and there was no real planning or anything so the hair looks pretty random(no real light source or flow) but kinda cool too lol The hatching in her eyes and chains turned out really cool though! I had tried the chain look before but not the eyes. She has dark scleras so coloring them black makes more sense but I wanted that sort of "shiny" effect XD

Yes, I love how some fantasy artists from the 80's did leather in the comic book style for this reason!

One thing, though: idk if she's supposed to have black hair as part of the character design or not, but hair that is black or dark enough to look black under most light doesn't really shine that uniformly under sharp, intense lighting. Normally, there would be at least a little more striation from the strands, or the lines of the most intense highlights would be a lot thinner. But, that's mostly a stylistic thing and if you do wind up coloring it at some point having all that white space to work the color into is a great choice.

Yeah, I totally get what your saying. Definitely need to keep that in mind for next time. Her hair is normally an indigo(or other kind of dark blue) like color but can easily look black.... hm have a sudden urge to color it now XD
