Jarvis continued speaking. “Competitors open your baskets.” The four Avengers opened their baskets and took out the items as Jarvis said what they were. “The mandatory ingredients for mini bagels, a block of cheddar cheese, ground beef, and rainbow chard. The competitors have 20 minutes to create their appetizers. Your time begins now.” The group sets their baskets under the table and begin cooking.

Natasha looked at the ingredients and went to their pantry aka the cabinets and fridge. She grabbed onions, ketchup, tomatoes, a few eggs, and lettuce. She got back to her station and went to work, adding the ketchup to the ground beef.

Tony smiled seeing what he had to work with. “I got the perfect idea.” He went into the pantry and grabbed mozzarella cheese, some pre sliced and cooked pepperoni, tomatoes, and several spices. He went straight away to starting to cook his ground beef.

Bruce looked at the ingredients for a minute not wanting to do what others might think he would do, going into the pantry he grabbed eggs, garlic powder, butter, breadcrumbs, and some seasoning. The first thing he did when he got back to his station was mixing the ground beef, eggs and breadcrumbs together and started to make meat balls.

Steve had gone into the pantry grabbing a few of the same things as the others, like tomatoes, ketchup, onions, and eggs. He also grabbed bacon and pickles.

Back at the judges table. Jarvis spoke. “So what do you guys think of these ingredients?”

“I think they are pretty simple, I can see these guys making mini pizzas” You said as Loki aimed the camera at you and moved it over to Fury.

“I think thats what Stark is making.” He said.

Thor nodded. “I can’t wait to eat it.”

“Hey Tony are you making mini bagel pizza?” You called out to him, Loki moving the camera to him.

He nods as he was using a blended to mix up the tomatoes and spices. “Yep, its going to be a pepperoni, hamburger bagel pizza with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.” He then moved back as to his bowl of ground meat mixture turning it into small hamburgers so it could cook faster.

Steve chuckled. “I think I’m going to beat you there. I’m making bagel bun sliders” He was forming his patties and setting them on a tray before going to grab the cheese grater.

Thor smiles and looked over at Bruce. “Brother Bruce what is it you are making?”

Bruce had already finished prepping his meatballs and was cooking them in a pan. “Meatball on a bagel that is going to be like garlic bread covered with sauce.”

“And Natasha what are you making?” Loki asked as he held the camera by her.

“Rainbow chard hamburger salad with bagel croutons, shredded cheddar cheese, onions and tomatoes.” She answered as she had some hamburger meat in a pan cooking and was chopping up some vegetables.

You smile as the smell of all the food filled the kitchen, you were pretty surprised how well the group was sharing the kitchen for this. You were about to keep talking with the judges but you all saw Clint come in with a giant bowl of fruit on his head. “Hey (f/n) I got the sabotage.”

“Why does Clint have that?” Fury asked glaring at him.

“How is a bowl of fruit a sabotage?” Thor asked.

You look over at Clint as Loki continued filming. “Clint we arn’t doing Cutthroat Kitchen, we are doing Chopped.”

He sets the fruit bowl down on a side table. “I thought the sabotage was Chopped?”

“No thats Cutthroat now I told you to go shopping for the next mystery basket. Hurry up!” You told him and he walks off.

Loki pointed the camera to you. “What is Cutthroat Kitchen? Is it a battle to the death in the kitchen? If it is I would like to do that.”

You rolled your eyes. “I’ll explain when we are done. Now back to filming.”

Jarvis spoke. “Avengers you have ten minute left.”

Tony had just finished cooking his mini hamburgers and was breaking them into small pieces before he puts it on his sauce covered mini bagels. He smirked adding mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and pepperoni. “Yum.” He looked around his station and saw that he had not used the rainbow chard and quickly cut it up and added it to the pizza thinking what harm could it do. After he was done he set it in the oven.

Natasha had cut up all the other ingredients after her bits of hamburger was done cooking and was letting it rest while she was turning the mini bagels into croutons. She went over the mystery ingredients in her mind. The rainbow chard was going to be part of the base of her salad with the lettuce, the ground meat was turned into pieces of hamburger, the block of cheddar cheese was going to be shredded and the mini bagels were to be croutons. She slowly started to plate.

Bruce had finished his meatballs and was going to be working on his sauce after he placed his mini bagels with butter and garlic powder on them in the oven. “I hope this works.”

Steve was toasting his bagel buns for his slider checking the clock every few seconds. When they were done he took them off the pan and went to get plates.

“One minute Avengers.” Jarvis said.

The Avengers were quickly plating their food. In a bowl Natasha had put in a combination of lettuce and rainbow chard greens at the bottom, on top was onions, ketchup, hamburger bits, shredded cheddar cheese and bagel croutons. Tony had pulled his mini bagel pizzas from the oven and the bottoms looked slightly charred. Bruce had placed his bagel garlic bread on the plate and realized he didn’t use the rainbow chard and quickly set it on the top of the garlic bread before he placed on the meatball sauce and cheese. Steve stacked up his sliders, it went half a mini bagel, the mini cheese stuffed burger, rainbow chard leaf, a little onion, tomato, and pickle and the top part of the mini bagel bun.

“Hands up Avengers.” Jarvis informed them and the appetizer round ended. They went in front of the judge’s table. “Avengers for the first round you had to use, mini bagels, a block of cheddar cheese, ground beef, and rainbow chard. Tony please present your food.”

Tony looked at Thor, Fury and you and smiled. “I present to you mini bagel pizza with mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, hamburger, pepperoni, rainbow chard, and tomato sauce. Everyone takes a bite.

“It is excellent.” Thor cheered after he basically swallowed it, you were unsure if he taste it.

“Mine tasted slightly burned.” Fury said and flipped over the other one that was plated showing Tony the dark bottom.

You nodded. “Same, also the rainbow chard doesnt taste right here.”

Tony nods. “Thank you.”

“Natasha you're up.” Jarvis said.

She nodded. “Today I have for you a lettuce and rainbow chard salad with onions, ketchup, hamburger bits, shredded cheddar cheese and bagel croutons.”

You look at the nice presentation in the bowl and took a bite. You smile and nod. “It’s good. I don’t think I had a hamburger salad. I like how you transformed the mini bagels.”

The other two judges nodded and it was Bruce’s turn to present. “I made you a ground beef meatball covered in tomato sauce and cheddar cheese, resting on a piece of rainbow chard and garlic bread bagel.

Thor took a bite and then looked at Bruce. “Brother Bruce, why this is tasty but the rainbow chard does not belong.”

Fury nodded in agreement. “I agree it’s like you just placed it on.”

“Thank you.” Bruce replied.

“Steve you're up.” Jarvis said.

Steve looks at the judges. “I have for you stuffed cheddar sliders on a toasted bagel bun, with rainbow chard leaf to replace lettuce and tomato, onion and pickles.

You and the judges eat the sliders. “It’s good. I like how you didn’t shred the cheese.”

“It is a mighty good slider.” Thor said. Fury just nods.

“The judges will now discuss who is going to be chopped.” Jarvis said and the participating avengers walk off into another room, only coming back minutes later after you and the others had talked about the dishes.

You looked at them. “There was a few ups in the dishes and a few downs. The one who is going to be chopped is….”
