Alrighty, it's been a while, but I'm continuing my series of redesigns on unused and rarely seen monsters in the Tohoverse. First I did the new monsters from Godzilla Unleashed: Krystalak, Obsidius, Firelion, Lightning Bug, and The Visitor. Next I'm going to focus my sights on monsters that never got to see the light of day at all; cancelled and scrapped kaiju. First up is the fishrat, Deutalios.Technically, Deutalios isn't as much of a redesign as he is an interpretation. There's no official artwork of Deutalios, so all fans have got to work with is the vague description of him being a mammal/fish that resembles a rat.
I've actually already done one Deutalios design ([link] ), but I wanted to take another shot at him. I like this design a lot better, too.
Since there isn't an original for me to compare/contrast with, I guess that's all I have to say. This is my take on Deutalios... so, enjoy?

I'm so pissed that Matt Frank made this guy fight Frankenstein in Godzilla Neo instead of Baragon. Also, he even skipped out on the part of him being half

I've gotta say I liked the paws of your original better (to be fair, I REALLY liked that one), but this design is just completely badass

That's cool, I understand. I think the more obvious webbing on the first design kind of fit him better. Glad you like it anyway, though.

His colors may be a bit bright but for something thats part fish it comes naturally. I like the overall form and his revamped tail fluke.

I like the design better, but i do think fur might do him some good. Not alot, kinda of scarred like but not too much like in your previous design.
But brilliant none the less.

Thanks! Originally I had some fur on it, but it looked sort of out of place against the fish scales and I ditched it.

I think he looks pretty good! 
I expecially like the scales on his back, for some reason. The fin and face look awesome, as well, and I like the subtle webs on the paws.

Nice design in itself, but, considering the movie he was suppose to be in, I can't help but feel he's a bit too bright, but maybe he's a Showa Deutalios.
