Description
The Return of...ROBO-47!
Though one of the War's most destructive monsters, the Atomic Era mech Robo-47 was eventually defeated and reclaimed by it's American creators. Deactivated and disassembled, it's individual parts were separated and shipped to high-security bases all across the US. Until a means to control it could be established, the robot would remain in disarray indefinitely.
Or so the military hoped. Bathed in alien radiation by the cloud of leaking fuel, every cog, gear, and bolt took on a life of it's own. Gathering together at the site of their old bunker, they began to reassemble themselves... and piece by piece, the dreaded weapon Robo-47 returned to power.

Because I have a job and go to school, and also have other projects to work on. I put the WOTM stuff on the back burner a long time ago, as you can see this is from January last year.

Well, I would if you used my characters... but if you did your own War of the Monsters 2 stuff then no, I wouldn't mind at all. I'm just a fan like you, I don't have any more ownership over the concept of a sequel than anyone else. and also did some WOTM2 stuff, if you're interested.

Uhhh... right. Well, sorry to disappoint, but the last one on the *right is Cylon inspired. I had no idea was a swatbot was until I just Googled it.

All. Of these. Skins. Are. AWESOME! Seriously, the different country themes are great, and the cylon is just classic. Well-done.

Yeah, I had to cut the WOTM project short. It was a lot of work getting them all cleaned up and nice looking, and I was really wishing I could be concentrating on other things.

OOooooooh! I LOVE these skins. Soooo glad you went with the Soviet and German ones. The spike on the head of the 3rd is very nice also. Would LOVE to play as these.

Robo 47 is probably my best monster(Even slightly over Preytor) but I have to admit, his costumes were rather.... dull. With the other monsters, they at least got a full color overhaul. Robo 47 just kinda got some easily ignored colored trim. It's nice that you found a way to rectify that and give him another delightfully zany fourth costume. While the pipe-bot fourth costume from the game was rather charming, the cylon is just amazing.
I'm so far in the minority here that I may well be int he singularity, but I really do prefer robots like 47 here over the sleeker, more high tech looking modern trends. The rivets, pincers and only vaguely humanoid shape give him both a sense of solidity and a sense that he is and always will be a machine on legs rather than an organism made of metal. He feels like a machine built for killing .

Thanks! I very much agree. Robo-47 and Zorgulon had the most boring skins in the game, I think; most of the time I couldn't even tell default Robo apart from his blue-trimmed counterpart. The retro 4th was a good idea but I personally never cared for it design-wise, hence why I tried something else here. Glad it went over well!
I can see where you're coming from on that, and really I don't disagree. I like both varieties, but it depends a lot on the setting. Sleek, organic mechs work fine for me in a futuristic or space opera type setting, but for something Earth-bound and set in the modern day or older I definitely prefer the mechanical vibe. Heavy, slow-moving robots with lots of nuts and bolts have a certain appeal to them, like oldschool Mechagodzilla and the AT-ATs.

Robo-47 was already awesome, complicated to draw and I feel your pain, but making him even more connected to The Iron Giant, one of my all-time favorite animated movies? You just plain win this. You win it all.

what i tihkn would be cool to see in preytor is a mosquito or a polyphemus moth as her 3rd or 4th. but its your creation so you dont have to do that.
