Description
After a Dinosaur is infected or bitten by a Demonite, they too morph into one. The infection is rabies-like in pathology, except a lot more brutal. As the Dinosaur slowly transcends into madness, physical transformations include gross deformations of the limbs, growth of black spines and poisonous barbs, darkening of the skin and gums and reddening, blood-shot eyes. The skin itself usually turns black or dark blue in colour, but can be highlighted by brown, red or orange raw split skin. The Dinosaur loses all self awareness and attacks anything or anyone that moves within its sight. Depending on the species of Demonite it was infected by, the Dinosaur may develop black toxic saliva, which in turn can infect more creatures it bites.

This is a depiction of what a species of raptor may look like once the full impact of the Demonite infection takes hold. Once the transformation is complete, the creature's soul is taken by the "Lord of Demons" (Skitzsos). Once this happens, the infection is irreversible, unless the soul is returned to the original host shortly after it was taken. Even if the infection is caught early, reversing it is very risky and usually leaves the infected Dinosaur permanently disfigured either physically or mentally in some form.
