There's that theory that future predators are actually genetically engineered Creatures made from Bats and possibly humans, so this is what the first version/ test subject would have look like, bigger and less agile than the ones seen in Primeval‪ these mutated bats still have some remains of "wigs", a longer tail, eyes and some extra fingers that resulted of some mutations.
