Additional Info: Male!Reader again please! Basically, the Kanto and Johto Pokedex holders keep teasing Silver about never having a crush and they walk into a cafe. Their waiter immediately catches his attention.

"C'moooon, Silv. For the last time, just tell us one person you think is cute."

"Blue, shut up. You're lucky I'm even coming to this stupid café with you. I have much better things to do than buy overpriced coffee."

Yellow pipes up,

"You did lose the bet to her, Silver. I think Blue is capable of telling you to do much worse things than just come to a café with us."

Crystal giggles from the front of the pack,

"Well, here we are! Looks adorable already, doesn't it?"

Silver grumbles as the four of them walk through the glass door, the bell chiming to signal their entrance and the smell of fresh pastries overwhelming their senses.

"I heard their biscotti is really good here, and-- o-oh. Hello there."

The three girls silence their chatter as an attractive male, looking to be about their age, approaches the table with a cheerful, slightly shy smile.

"Hello! My name's (Y/N), and I'll be your server today. Can I get you anything to start?"

Silver looks up to see why they've halted their incessant gossip so quickly, and has to do a double take. The girls are so busy staring that they don't even see that Silver himself is blushing slightly.

"I--I'll have a chai latte, and some banana bread."

"Earl grey tea and a chocolate croissant."

"Iced coffee, cheese bagel."

"And for you, sir?"

Silver snaps out of his momentary trance, realizing that he hasn't even taken a peek at the menu.

"U-uh, what do you recommend?"

After scribbling the girls' orders on his notepad, the waiter continues without skipping a beat,

"Today's special is our almond macarons and strawberry tea. W-which kind of matches your hair, by the way."

Silver hardly notices the slight stutter in (Y/N)'s speech; he's too caught up in his own thoughts.

"I'll have that, then."

"Perfect. It'll be ready momentarily."

The four nod their heads, waiting until the man is out of reach to begin talking again.

Blue gushes,

"Is he not the cutest thing?"

Crystal chimes in,

"He's definitely pretty dreamy."

The girls resume their squealing-- even Yellow seems to have been smitten by their charming waiter-- and Silver can't help notice that for the first time in a while, he seems a little nervous. He continues to glance over in (Y/N)'s direction, following the sparkle in his eyes when he laughs at a customer's joke, and the way his tongue sticks slightly out as he writes down an order.

The man looks over at Silver, making eye contact and giving an unreadable smile. It's more than just an I'm-your-server-so-I-have-to-smile-at-you smile-- it's a knowing smile, his lip slightly upturned in a smirk.

The other three don't seem to notice, and Silver's heart skips a beat.

Throughout the course of the meal, the girls relentlessly attempt to catch the waiter's attention, but seem to be making no developments.

Blue's usual bold attempts at flirting are almost instantly shut down with a polite smile.

Crys tries to make intelligent conversation with the waiter, but he's almost always whisked away by another table or customer.

Yellow is shaking in her boots, laughing a little too hard at her own jokes-- but (Y/N) laughs along regardless.

"This guy's a tough nut to crack. Should I--"

"No, Blue. You should not do anything involving taking off any clothes."

Blue pouts at Crystal's remark.

(Y/N) strolls over to the table, five pieces of paper in hand. He distributes the four receipts, clutching the remaining one.

As observant as ever, Blue takes notice, casually pointing as she drawls,

"I see you wrote a number on that piece of paper, (Y/N). You're going to give it to the cutest person here, am I right?"

The waiter is caught off guard, blushing furiously and reluctantly nodding. Blue holds her hand out with a wink.

"I'll be taking that, then!"

"Blue, I-- I don't think he's going to give it to you, actually, I--"

Yellow interrupts quietly,

"Guys, I think you should just-- just let him do his job..."

Silver realizes what's about to happen as he glances at his receipt, seeing the grand total of zero dollars.

"A-actually, this is for you, sir. It's on the house today."

The waiter's cheeks are the colour of the strawberry tea he served earlier, with Silver's face to match. Silver nods with a slight smile, folding the paper neatly and placing it into a pocket.

"I'll text you."

The three girls don't even bother teasing Silver as they leave the café, instead following the admittedly smug boy, dumbfounded.

He may have lost the bet to Blue, but he makes a note to maybe thank her later, for helping him gain something a lot better in the process.
