Annie is comfortly watching Dinosauria on TV, Ghost laying on her bed.

Annie: (quoting on the characters on TV) Long live the king.
Amelia: Sometimes I swear you know this show by heart.
Annie: I do, you preparing for Halloween.
Amelia: Kid, I know all the stuff for spooky month. Which by the way, you got any idea what school you go to?
Annie: Well.....
Amelia: If you forgot, I'll enlist you in one of the schools in my area.

She then places a pumpkin on the table, getting a craving knife, and Annie comes to the table

Amelia: Now, dinosaur themed jack-o-lantern?
Annie: Yes.
Amelia: And Halloween costume?
Annie: I think you got me one of Princess Dianne from Tales of Kentarbrius, that or Phebe.
Amelia: Yeah, most likely.

Amelia receives a text from her cousin, Amethyst.

Amethyst: (text message) Hey, ok if I spend time with you for Halloween? Just let me know thanks.

Amelia replies with "Sure, can't wait, see you then"

Amelia: Well got some other news, one of your other aunts will be coming over.
Annie: Amethyst?
Amelia: Yes. Plus I think she could need it.
Annie: Why is that?
Amelia: I'd tell you, but have some time to explain it.

Annie looks at what Halloween costume got, that being Princess Dianne, which she giggles happily. Then both her and Amelia hear the door knock. Ghost barks upon hearing.

Amelia: I'll get it.

She opens the door, it turns out to be Amethyst, and both share a hug

Amethyst: Super glad to see you.
Amelia: Yeah, so how is the hunter training?
Amethyst: Still work in progress, besides it could be worse.
Amelia: Sure, I had it worse.

Annie comes out from the corner, seeing Amethyst hugs her tightly

Amethyst: Hey squirt.
Amelia: So what brings you here?
Amethyst: Thought I spend time with the family. How's Samuel?
Amelia: He's doing well, doing some errands with his folks.

Amethyst gets her costume that she just bought before arriving to Amelia's place, a fantasy outfit from one of the mages from Dragon's Soul, Annie took notice, but then went back to the living room to keep watching television.

Amethyst: Any updates?
Amelia: I haven't received any as of yet.... hellhound incident, I kept on high alert. Just in case.

She gets a call

Amelia: (into the phone) Alright, be right there. (to Amethyst) Can you watch Annie, until I get back?
Amethyst: Sure, but what's wrong?
Amelia: Supernatural on human conflict.

Amelia arrives to the crime scene, the victim looked like he been attacked by an animal, the lower jaw missing, Lumina had arrived onto the scene

Amelia: The cause of death be self expanitory, but one thing I do notice, this wasn't done by a werewolf or a type of werecat for that matter.
Lumina: So, something new?
Amelia: Victim is covered in rat hair.. so we know the killer. It ain't Master Splinter that's for sure.

A rat crawls out the chest of the body, before scurrying back into the sewer, Amelia is unthased

Amelia: Why rats... yet could be a lead.

As she gets ready to enter the sewers, Samuel arrives.

Amelia: Oh hey, what brings you here?
Samuel: Giant rat sighting, wanted to find you, seems we're on the same trail.

Amelia lets out a small smile, before going into the sewers, followed by Lumina and Samuel.

Samuel: God, stinks...
Amelia: Well its the sewers, a lot of fecal matter comes down.
Lumina: And the occasional toy. Like that doll there.
Amelia: Yeah.... at least Annie takes care of her toys.

Samuel spots another body, this one more bone than flesh

Samuel: Found another body!

Lumina and Amelia turn to him

Amelia: Looks like he's been here a while...

She examines the bones, noticing the tooth marks on the bone

Amelia: Rat tooth marks, what's alarming is the big ones... just stay alert, giant rat problem.
Lumina: What about the ROUS's?
Amelia: Rodents Of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist.

One comes out of nowhere and jumps her.

Amelia: GET THE FUCK OFF ME!!!!

She shoots at it, and it disappears into the shadows

Lumina: You get it?
Amelia: Didn't get a good hit on it. But jeez that was a big rat.
Samuel: That was no ordinary sewer rat that's for sure. Left a small blood trail, lets follow.
Amelia: Yeah, if it lunges, its dead.
Samuel: Sure, granted this is giant fucking rat.

They follow the trail, they notice the trail is getting smaller and smaller, until it stops

Amelia: This is not good...
Samuel: Ok.. look around, could be anywhere.

Lumina spots fresh feces from the rat

Lumina: Fresh scat... not too surprising.

She jumps back, when she shines a light down a sewer line, showing three giant rats charging out.

Lumina: Get back!

She gets out of the way, once all three rats come out, one landing on Amelia, this time she lands a heart shot, while Amelia gets up, Lumina slices one with her sword, Samuel fires his crossbow, but gets the leg, and it escapes to the surface.

Amelia: (kicking the dead) And stay down!
Samuel: Well, our rat has gone topside...
Amelia: Not good...

Back at Amelia's place, Annie is costumed up ready to go out for trick or treating

Amethyst: Someone is prepared.
Annie: Yeah, dressed up like Princess Dianne, what's your costume?
Amethyst: Well I selected a Dragon's Soul character, Messalina I believe, luckily I do have a purple wig so I'm accurate to the show.
Annie: You put on costumes before?
Amethyst: Uh... yeah, even been to conventions, even cosplaying. So yes, I'm all too familar.

She gets a call.

Amethyst: Hello?
Amelia: Amethyst, we got a massive rat problem. Like a giant rat.
Amethyst: Rats? What's wrong with a little rat?
Amelia: Oh this rat is a lot bigger, keep Annie inside until we take care of this rat, if you see it say inside.
Amethyst: Got it. And should it get in your host?
Amelia: Well the training should pay off then. Just in case.
Amethyst: Well let me know if that overgrown rat is taken.... care of.....

She spots the giant rat as people run and panic

Amethyst: Rat's in the neighborhood, keeping the doors locked.
Amelia: What?! I'm on my way back, keep Annie away from that rodent! This thing is an active predator, its gained a taste for human flesh.
Amethyst: Thanks for that bit of info cuz...

She hangs up, getting a pair of sai out.

Annie: Your a hunter too?
Amethyst: Yeah, still experimenting with weapon type thou... um, your aunt told me there's a giant rat outside, and told me to keep you safe.

Annie's face goes pale, Amethyst turns around, seeing the giant rat right outside the window.

Amethyst: Get up stairs... now.

Annie does so, as Amethyst gets ready.

Amethyst: Oh Amelia get back here now....

The rat looks for a way in, then it starts chewing on the wall of the house, this gets Amethyst on edge.

Amethyst: Stupid rat.... starting to chew on my cousin's house are you?

Once she sees the rodent's nose, she stabs it, making it shriek in pain, it lets out a growl.

Amethyst: Bad idea....

It gnaws into the wall, more fuirously, making a hole just big enough for its head, Amethyst uses her sais, until she makes a hit on its neck, making it bleed out but it didn't care as it shrieked, and tries to bite at Amethyst, until shots got be heard outside. Amelia had just arrived in the nick of time.

Amelia: Hope I'm not late to the party. Luckily I got insurance on the house....
Amethyst: Yeah rat spotted us....
Amelia: You can come down Annie.

Annie peaks her head out.

Annie: The rat's dead right?
Amelia: Yes, its dead.

Annie comes down.

Amelia: Although what could cause a giant rat to occur?
Amethyst: I don't know... but hope its over.

Later, Amelia takes Annie out trick or treating, Amethyst tags along, but Amelia notices she's on edge.

Amelia: Something wrong?
Amethyst: Me? Oh no, just worried my boyfriend will come out here, looking for me.
Amelia: (seeing how Annie is having so much fun) Yeah... I don't wanna push it, given its not a good time on your end.
Amethyst: Sure, much more of it is downs. I'll let you know if something happens..
