my Creature-Exchange submission this month! my recipient is FirePhoenix146 c: this was a really unique and fun brief to work with, I really hope you like it!

1 - What parts of your prompt were written well and easy to understand? Was there anything the writer of the prompt could improve on or include next time they create a prompt?
the prompt was really well written! the vibe you were after was incredibly clear from the get-go, while still allowing a lot of room for interpretation. the moodboard and colour palette were really fun and useful to have during the design process and I think I did a better job because they were included!

2 - Please explain how you interpreted the prompt to create your design. Which features did you use? Did you stick to the chosen palette or make changes to it? Does the design you created have any special abilities or quirks?
my jumping off point for this design was the caladrius! which is this roman mythological bird that can take illness into itself and then fly off and just get rid of the illness. since you wanted a friendly and fun creature that's just vibing, I thought that could be a fun basis - imagine someone who vibes so hard that others just chill out and feel better c: so my first idea was a caladrius mashed with a dragon, and then from there I added some alien and tech-y looking parts. I wanted it to strike a balance between naturalistic aspects (the wings, beak) and very unnatural shapes and forms (broken up parts, the big wings, lack of hind legs etc). definitely took note of you saying that you like wings and wanting to incorporate a weird halo in some way! opted against the suggested wreath since I already had a lot going on around the head, but I pretty much lifted the across the face halo idea from a picture in your moodboard cause it really spoke to me : D used the provided palette as well, except I took out the more muted tones cause I liked the neon alien sorta vibe I wound up with. c:
