Even before the dawn of civilization, we humans have always been fascinated by the stars and the greatness of space. Maybe we have such fascination because we seem so insignificant, and because itβs the ultimate adventure. Cosmic vision is what fuels our imagination, and what enables us to reach the stars.
ok this is a colab i did with , my favorite photographer.
The idea was always present in my mind, but it finally came to the surface after watching the new Star Trek Nemesis Trailer. I had everything but I needed a huge eye. So Atila was the man to ask.
I also did this because no one did a manipulation of an eye (or at least to this extreme). Also because i wanted to mix some of my favorite stuff. I already mixed abstract with planets (cosmic frostbite series) and now it was time to mix the eye with planets, and some abstract elements here and there
if you're somewaht skeptical as to whether to use this as a desktop or not, use it for 5 minutes, and then if you dont like it, take it down. i was skeptical as well, but now i love it

Yup, I used photoshop. If I saw an eye like that, I'd probably take it to a doctor
I didnt use a smudge tool, though. I made "tentacles" in 3D (you can make them in photoshop, too. Just look around for "photoshop tentacle tutorial") and then I applied the wave filter to make them look.....wavy
I then laid them on top, along with the texture of a tree trunk, with hard edges erased with a fuzzy brush.
