Hey all. This is my entry for this week's "The Line"This was my attempt at the archie comics gang as interpreted by Mike Mignola. I absolutely butchered his style, but oh well. Iām not Mignola. (sadly.)

It's really ironic how much this reflects some of the Archie Comics lineup these days.

I thought I should pick out some of your pieces as favourites; Problem: ALL Of you stuff is SO damned good.
I chose this one because (a) You dared and succeeded in aping Mignola's style, including the layout; (b) The joke is subtle but BRILLIANT.

seriously though. you're too hard on yourself. before reading your description I could tell it was homage to Mignolia. And a damn good one.

I'd argue as long as YOU like your work. But then I know that not even I can live up to that expectation.

i think no artist should be truly and absolutely satisfied with their work.

I think you can be satisfied with your work but aware of its flaws so that the next is more satisfying than the last... or something like that. My point is just that if you judge your art against perfection you're setting yourself up for self-loathing and depression. If you judge your art against whether or not it is an improvement over your last effort you'll keep yourself more sane.

Guy, since I found out that I have to move to the Midwest I've been in no mood to draw. I've just been kicking it with friends, you know. When I get there I'll attempt to get back into it. Also, lets just agree that we are each others heroes!

My girlfriend is going to get her Doctrine out there. We decided to head out together. I mean East Coast for life and all that jazz, yeah, I just think of it as a long vacation. I'm going to hook up with Johnson and Rikyo and we're going to try and get some serious work done.
Also I have to catch you online sometime. I have some secret projects that I need to fill you in about.

Nah, I think you did a pretty solid representation of his style. I like it--I lawled quite heartily. I especially like how you interpreted Jughead's crown.
