very dramatic, Denis, the bokeh in the background works very well.

Thank you Alec! I see what you mean, except, I think my lenses don't make good bokeh, and that digital cameras make some "clips" between the individual tones.

yes they do (although i don't know exactly what you mean by "clicks") - see here [link] . this is an old camera (digital) but those lines on the edge of progressive tones are visible and not natural [visible most notably right top corner - the 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Not "clicks", but "clips".
So, what would be your conclusion: is it only the chip or newer lenses too that makes such a mess? Over the past few days I test Nikon 35-70mm f/2.8, which is slightly older than the lenses that I own. I am considering to buy it. Namely, it gives all in kind of softer transitions: from one tone to another, from the sharpness to the blur. This is not something revolutionary better, but still is better.

i think it isn't about the lenses - which are still basically glass. i reckon it is about the matrix of the sensor - the size of the individual pixels and/or the software used to process the data from the sensor. but it's just me thinking ...
and anyway so long as there are pixels instead of some uniform sensor - sort of one big "pixel" which would sense it more naturally - so long there will be the problem of man-made regularities within the image. better still - would be to copy the irregularity of silver cristals from traditional film, which were not placed on the film according to some predesigned grid, like trees in a man-planted forest, but rather found their room randomly - naturally..
my mind wanders... nevertheless - i do not mind it all so much
