Eh . . so to be honest, I had no idea what the hell I was doing. . . I have never done something like this so I kinda just guessed so advice would be awesome!! I would love some critiques and advice. . . .I know the hair looks odd, that was honestly the hardest part for me so advice on hair would be awesome!! Actually advice in general would be good. ANyways, hope you enjoy and I do plan to practice this style some more! I want to stop drawing with line art because I love how no lineart looks so I will be doing this more. So this was the farthest I have ever gone in a piece like this so I am really proud I got this far and I believe it came out pretty well. . . . I love the blue shadows and yellow highlights. Your tone is lovely and has a great balance.
The facial proportions are a little off, the eyes should be lower and a little bigger but I think all and all this is a pretty good piece.

No worries! I hope that helps, but also don't forget because Peridot is a cartoon character it is fine to exaggerate proportions and play around with those kind of things.
The more you practice, the more your eyes adjust and those things will come naturally to you. Also I don't know if this helps but the eye spacing is an eye apart, it helps to measure where everything sits on your face and other portraits.

I wiiiiiiish I could manage colors like this, and for the eyes maybe being a little small, they're super natural looking all the same.

Really?? Wow. . . I actually did not even notice that. . . .I will keep that in mind next time! I guess they appear smaller with the shading or I just simply made them too small . . .Thanks!!
