So I see that after all this time and all the people that have asked, no one has posted a pic!! I did get this tattoo, although I had the tattoo artist take his own spin on it based on your original idea. I hope you like it!! Hey! That tat turned out amazing. I love it and am super flattered that you got a tattoo inspired by my art. I think I still see the original hand in it. Won't lie, though, a little sad to not see my actual work as a tattoo but you have no idea how flattered I am!! That is forever art . *squeels*
I really hope you have this image posted somewhere and that you are really singing the praises of the artist who tattooed you! They did amazing work and deserve a lot of credit as this is virtually all of their work!! I think tattoo artists are some of the most under appreciated artists out there.

Thank you!! I am so glad you like it!! I was a little worried you would be upset that it was altered, but I really loved the tattoo artist's style and I wanted him to run with the idea. I told him I loved how you used the contrasting black on white next to the white on black, and I wanted some of that in the tattoo, and that was why he kept the hand

I believe that this is probably one of my fravorite pieces hear on deviantART, hands down! The contrast between the white and black gives me a chill every time I look at it. Simply amazing! As for the tattoo idea I've been thinking about getting one like this myself. You should be proud of the work you did on this piece.

wonderful piece! my friend is a big sandman fan. it's nice how you added some of your own twists to it - especially the pupil-less eyes, long lashes, crumbling graveyard. black and white semi-minimalism is always one of my favourites. i like the crossovers, also the ankh inside an ankh and the overall shape of your piece. impressive.

i really can't remember how long i spent on it. i remember that i came up with the idea and thought i was brilliant.
hmmm.... let's see. the concept sketch probably took about an hour-ish. and then reworking it on the computer maybe took 2 hours. so about 3 hours. i think. maybe. heh heh heh eh...

i just bought a tablet... so there is nothing i have posted yet that was done with one. i figure with the tutorials, just wing it! i have been.

I wouldn't say it's death so much. The Ankh mean life right, and you've put death in it, so wouldn't really mean There is always death, in life? Pretty deep stuff. I love the pic, seriously!
