Description
We always see a lot of western-based steampunkery so I figured I would have a go at exploring how it would influence peoples of the Indian region.ΒI also wanted to push to see if I could still have a steampunk character without any goggles, cogs or even weapons.

I really love it. I ways hated the superfluous cogs and goggles. The Indian style is a nice change to.

Interesting idea! All these while steampunk is always related to cogwheels and goggles, definitely love seeing a steampunk piece but sans either of those 2 items. I'm inspired!

Exquisitely done, love the painterly style and use of illumination to get a concise composition. I'll be honest, I'd have never thought her as Indian if I didn;t read your description. I can see it slightly in her clothing, but I feel that it needs a more obvious visual element to make her more Indian. Great painting!

Instant fave mate. Beautifull details and lovely character. I had the same intention by doing a steampunk character without googles and Cylinder hat and realized that it was good to break the laws

Hey nice work!
What canvas size do you use? Is it just 4200x2800?

Hey, thanks.
Yes for this one the canvas size was indeed 2856x4205. I figured that the brush strokes still held up at the original size for this piece.

Thank you! I tried to take inspiration from the old War of the Worlds designs for the tripod and tried to make it all look as alternate reality as possible!
I wanted to try to make sure that it looked like a camera flash that you can really hear.

I always did think that those old tripods had a good look to them. They really creaped me out as a little one.

This is beautiful and detailed wonderfully, but I think what sells me is her face.
The clothing came out, so I definitely you succeeded on your own little challenge.

Exactly! I am looking to do another under-represented region for my next Steampunk piece. Most likely the middle-east or far-east.Β
