So earlier I tried to build a Maxim in .7 needless to say, it didnt go so well and I had to scrap the whole thing. But I couldn't call it a night on a bad note, so I whipped another pistol design up real quick.

This Revolver gives me all sorts of apocalypse-wasteland games. A smidge of Fallout, a Smidge of RAGE, a Smidge of Wasteland...you name it, it gets my apocalypse hackles up.
44.Magnum as always, why choose anything else with a revolver.

The action is double action style with a trimmed hammer, so Its not really visible until the action is at the highest point of tension.
