An IP combining Mecha and Cthulhu. Seems dead, sadly.

Are You gonna turn this into the same awesomeness You did with the ship comparison chart?

If so,Β I have some suggestions:

- Mech Warrior Online has some splash art You can use.

- Metal Gear is a mech.

- Armored Core has a lot of em

- Starcraft's Odin, Wiking, SCV, and Thor

- All possible Gundam series?

- Hawken Mechs

- Manga/Anime has a limitless supply of these Xp

... and I REALLY need to update the chart's Imperial Knight. That model is awesome.

Eventually, yes, it will. I'd definitly also add Evangelion and Pacific Rim. But right now, I'm aching trhough the final additiona for the spaceships chart. I'm ... kind of running out of ships to add.

Well I do have two suggestions. Add some Steel Battalion VTs to this chart and maybe take a look at some of the ships from Escape Velocity: Nova (those Polaris Ravens are enormous!)

DirkLoechel In reply to Dallenson [2015-03-28 20:19:45 +0000 UTC]

I'll try and add them. Thanks!

I believed Titans were much much larger...

DirkLoechel In reply to Keydan [2013-11-11 11:08:39 +0000 UTC]

GW is super inconsistent there in it's art and writing. I used their sizes for the 40K scale minis game.

Keydan In reply to DirkLoechel [2013-11-12 08:18:45 +0000 UTC]

Makes sense.
It is that i remembered having an argument a while back, while smaller titans were around 15-20m, the larger ones were around 100m, if one were to believe the artwork.

DirkLoechel In reply to Keydan [2013-11-12 22:21:03 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, and an Imperator is 75 meters in one novel and 250 in the next ... it's pretty badly coordinated. The emcha chart is based on a chart by GW, thouggh - the soldier and the Imperator are theirs. I scaled using the soldier at 1,7 meters size.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

billyboyjennings In reply to DirkLoechel [2013-11-19 22:57:34 +0000 UTC]

Minis aren't accurately scaled. Example, Guardsmen are pretty much the same size as Space Marines, which is just wrong.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DirkLoechel In reply to billyboyjennings [2013-11-20 20:11:47 +0000 UTC]

No, but it said "guardsman, 1,7 metrs", which is at least soemthing. Mecha sizes in Warhammer are incredibly fucked up.

STTGL would be the largest that can be measured, at 52.8 billion light years.

Very cool chart but we all know Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the largest BTW it's 52 light years tall

Warlords are more around 60 meters. Imperators can reach in excess of 150m depending on how tall the cathedral spires are.

I think the 3rd one is a Dreadknight from the Grey Knight's chapter.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

DirkLoechel In reply to KionoWinterfox [2012-01-03 21:15:13 +0000 UTC]

Yup, i's an Imperial Knight. Reminds, me, I should get around updating this, now that a de facto official Knight is out with the new Grey Knights ...

The mecha all are: Soldier (human, 1,7 meters high), Power Armour, Light, Medium, Heavy and whatever is the biggest nonunique thing they have. I went with rough equivalents; mist 'mechs of the Imperium would be heavy by the other standards.

johnforge In reply to DirkLoechel [2013-08-31 19:45:59 +0000 UTC]

you forgot the 2 oldest titans

1:warmaster class (super-heavy Mech) (3 built, 2 destroyed, 1missing)
2:Emperor class (super-heavy Mech)

Β the emperor has 2 Variants that is based on the same stc

1:A Warmonger-class Emperor Titan
2:A Imperator-class Battle Titan

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DirkLoechel In reply to johnforge [2013-09-02 13:54:58 +0000 UTC]

Í would have liked to include them (though I think Imperator and Enmperor are really one and the same machine, and Warhammer is impossibly inaccurate with sizing their mechs). But there is no decent-resolution art of either I could find. I'd also have liked to include gundam and other Anime, but haven't got much insight into how their mechs are classed and sized.

Very interesting idea , i thought about Titans and Battlemechs myself on many occasions . The Ctulhutech mechs are sadly not known to me but they do seem interesting as well .

Although the dimensions are correct ( as far as my knowledge goes ) the scale is a bit misleading , each category is meant to be self contained but the impulse of the average viewer will be to compare them all at the same time . This will lead to such absurdities as thinking that the Atlas is about half the size of the Imperator , this is of course not the case .
