Just a summary. Her father once used an omnitrix back in his teens. His over confidence and use of Brawn over Brain costed him the device when a malfunction caused it to detonate. The device embedded its database into his DNA in which Codi would inherit. She doesn't need the Omnitrix to use the abilities. However using such abilities could cause fatigue or even worse.
