I've seen this piece already in a couple of watch messages, but it just simply gave me the creeps, and I had to skip checking it properly Well now I did.
The first impact of the image is simply shocking. I couldn't find a better word to describe the feeling I had, when I first saw it. I mean it as a compliment, as most probably that was your goal. I guess it must be the child, and his "reaching out of the screen" pose. I was thinking on creating something similar as well, but after this, I don't think I would be able to make a better one
There are two small "mistakes?" though that I would point out.
One is the shadow on the side of the child's forehead, and the other one is that the mirror doesn't blend with the wall.
As I figured, the light on the child comes directly from the front, which is ok, but there is no possible way of having shadow at that part of the head. At least not this strong.
The mirror thing could also be shadow related, as the light would also have to touch it from the front, so I guess there should be a faded silhouette of shadow around it. I mean it doesn't flush with the wall in reality.
Summa summarum the picture has the creepy, scary feeling that probably you wanted to create. Really nice choice of color as well. The idea is awesome! And at the end, the two small things I mentioned nearly dissapear in the light of all the pros
