There are plenty of tutorials out there, just find one of them as they provide far better information about it than I could ever. I used a Macromedia Flash 8 for this one.
Just try searching "dress-up game tut(orial)" and I'm pretty sure you'll get some answers. The best search place for it is dA itself!

The red hair, along with many other things, is not there.
I believe Gerard at the time I made it (2007) hadn't sported red hair. Or did he? My memory is bad. He had some red, green and blond turfs on top of his head, which is also in the game (minus the red).
