A widely known youkai in Japanese mythology. Best known for their mischievous nature, these intelligent creatures use illusion and shapeshifting to fool humans. It is said that a fox that lives over fifty or a hundred years with enough wisdom, they can transform into a human. Their tail signifies their age and it will grow up until nine in each passing century. They are often associated with the goddess Inari. Kitsunes tend to have a bad relationship with the Tanukis.Related content
