First, I love the color scheme you used for this picture. Rather than using vibrant colors I'm impressed how well you used more somber colors such as grays and pascals to create a much more vivid picture.
The interaction between the characters is very intimate as well. It's obvious from their expressions that there is a familiarity, and almost intimate, relationship between the two. This may simply be me reading too much into it but overall the expressions both characters have show a deeper trust and friendship that makes this picture so much more intricate.
Lastly, I love the concept of Ruby having lost her legs and having them replaced. It's almost like have a bird's wings clipped only to have them replaced with something different and more contrast to their overall scheme. I can honestly say you put a lot of thought into this picture and I greatly enjoy the simplicity of the scene as well as the emotions that are conveyed by it.

I must admit, that's an amazing picture, and I mean it. Not only does it represent your trademark top quality handiwork, but it's also a clever meta actually putting yourself in the picture.
Imagine that, using cybernetic legs to represent you creating new ideas and bringing them to life, Bach. It's clever, heartwarming, and pretty awesome on its own. Just look at the joy in both of your faces! That's pretty neat, treating Ruby (in your continuity) as if she was real and like your own child, and just making something to soothe her spirits.
Of course, the lighting and shade are great, and so are all the details in the characters and the cybernetic legs themselves.
I do hope that pieces like this will also extend to the fanmade Grimm characters - they need some love too.

I seriously love this image. First: vision. The piece is aesthetically pleasing in the best ways. it's easy to tell what's going on and the color scheme prevents it from becoming overly busy. Second: originality. I have seen art involving prosthetics before but this is entirely different from other pieces I've seen involving the same subject and it's very different in the way it's portrayed. Third: technique. The only issue here I have is what the two people are sitting on: it appears that the boy isn't sitting on anything, which is a bit odd, and the thing the girl is sitting on is flatβit doesn't extend backwards or forwards, and with the rest of the image attempting to create depth it's just a bit off. Impact: this has a great message. It has a magical feeling for sure, and it is inspirational as well; it's just a piece that draw attention. Great work!

First off i would like to say i find artwork like this very interesting. i love the theme of your character rebuilding the RWBY character, but one thing i'd like to know is which RWBY character is that. at one point it looks like pyrrha but on the other hand i get the feeling tha tit's supposed to be Summer rose. the design for the girl is very good but considering the color palate it is kinda hard to tell who the girl is supposed to be. but all in all the image is very good & it's very beautiful & romantic.

the feeling of creating something of your own imagination with such love and care and having it seen and admired by so many people is THE best feeling an artist can get, and this art piece demonstrates it perfectly. i can tell you put alot of work and effort into these series of artworks and the story behind each one. fleshing out the character, respecting and staying true and to their source material in a way very few people could and improving visually on an already great series. hope you keep doing the things you love and keep on creating

Man, that's a nice change of pace: you're not maiming or killing a character for once, haha.
Anyways, critique. It's a nice full picture. The background is empty, sure, but I honestly don't think anything in the background is needed: having it empty makes it that much easier to focus on the action between you and Ruby, and it's cool.
Dishwasher1910 semblance is creating life from his drawings, confirmed. I really like the way you illustrated that, especially with the lighting.
On the note of the lighting, that is probably what really brings the best out in the picture. It really gives off this feeling of love for one's creations, which I'm sure you do love your AU and the characters living in it (inb4 Dishwasher1910 is canon character in RWBY 3.0 and people start shipping him HEH).
If there any issues I'd have, there's nothing that really detracts from the picture.
Only thing I wanna say is that Ruby's but looks like it's floating off the box? I don't really think that's a big deal to take points off for, but it could just be my eyes playing tricks on me.

P.S. You've been pumping these out a lot recently, are you making this a daily thing, or are you just inspired and capitalizing on the inspiration that's clearly not leaving any time soon haha.

I've never written a critique before, so please bear with me.
I enjoy the concept of putting yourself in the image. It's not something I recall ever seeing you do before (unless I've missed something). I like how it appears the you are materializing Ruby's legs and feet out of thin air. It certainly appears to have a sense of magic and wonder on top of the technological aspect of Ruby having robotic legs.
The second thing I want to praise is the lighting and shading. It's absolutely stunning. I also take a liking to the particle effect over the image. It helps to add to the aforementioned magic and wonder aspect.
The expressions on yours and Ruby's faces are also fantastic. You appear to be a very caring individual who only wants to help your friend. Ruby looks very patient as well as interested and invested in what you are doing.
