Description I have always liked the Dragon Quest series.  I had the first one on NES a few years after it came out.  I'm pretty sure it came out around the time I was born so I had to reach gaming age first.  Which was 3 years old . . . . maybe.  Anyways, I've already got vii on the psx, but I'm getting the 3ds one next week.

They were some of the more unique DQ designs for sure.

Heh, got to start somewhere.  I haven't played Dragon Quest Heroes, but if the sequel gets localized here (as well as Dragon Quest XI) I'll finally buy a PS4.

I too am a big fan of Dragon Quest!
Back in the day, my friend Yoshi had Dragon Quest VII back when I was 10.
I was aware of the series and liked them due to the NES games and back when they were called Dragon Warrior, but that was kind of it at the time since we didn't get V or VI here, him having VII had me like "Whaaat?"
Also, VII wouldn't come out here until over a whole year after it came out over there.
And at the time, I had no idea they remade the first 3 for SNES (well, Super Famicom) either, but he had and showed me those too.
Which I'm still pretty miffed they kept exclusive and still to this day never brought them over here (but bless romhackers for havin' our back there at least).
But yeah, man, he had so many games that I'd never heard before that were never localized too, which was really neat (and sad), and his family would go back there during winter and/or summer break and bring more stuff back.
Aside from Dragon Quest VII, he wound up having other games that weren't even out yet here like Final Fantasy X, which I actually wound up seeing him play through it all the way before we even got it over here. XD

Anyways, now that I'm done with story time, great work on this!
I actually still lack a 3DS, so I won't be able to get the remake of VII just yet. >_<
But hopefully pretty soon since I already have a backlog of 3DS games to get as is. So I need to just get the damn thing. lol
Tell me how ya like it, though!
And I'd love to see Maribel and Aira in your art style sometime, too!

Dang, Yoshi sounds like the man to know!  I can relate to the feeling.  Where I grew up, it was a sister city for Japanese immigrating families.  I picked up a lot of good things at their garage sales.  An adapter allowing an SNES to play super famicom games, dragon quest 2 remake, Jojo rpg, final fantasy V, and a bunch of manga.  Although, my comprehension of Japanese is limited to the basics.  I do recall Dragon Warrior VII having quite a gap before we finally got it over here.  It must have been pretty awesome to witness its original release.

I'm sure once I start playing the remake, I'll be drawing DQVII pictures, so look forward to that.  Still have to get used to Aira being called Aishe.  The rest of the name changes I actually like, though, especially Sir Mervyn.  (Love that mandatory "sir.")
