Recently I've been very interested in Rumiko Takahashi, so I decide to read her latest series Rin-Ne as well as some old Urusei Yatsura stuff before starting on Ranma & Inu-yasha.

Besides Jojo's Bizarre Adventure artist Hirohiko Araki, Rumiko Takahashi is my favorite manga artist. I find her art style was at the sweet spot around the beginning of Ranma. Rin-ne still looks good, but the characters aren't as round, legs not as thick, etc.

Thank you, it does! You know, even though I grew up on watching shows like Pokemon & Dragonball Z, I never cared all that much for anime/manga, but lately I'm starting to become interested in it(although mainly the older stuff, like Osamu Tezuka, Go Nagai, Rumiko Takahashi & Akira Toriyama). Although unfortunately, the tutor for the illustration course I'm doing seems to hate itXD

Ha, seems every art teacher I've had hated it too.
Things were opposite for me, growing up with anime/manga, but am now getting more and more into american comics. Good list of older manga artists, too.
