I added boots.Actually the boots were finished last year... or the one before, but truth be told I hate the staging on the existing Joachim picture so it's going in the Scraps gallery. Gods, has it been 2 years since that mad week in May/June? it has...
I still want to redo the vest, maybe add some leather bits to the arms, and get a $600 wig that actually looks like the bloody vampire. Something like a decent photo shoot may be in order then... In the meantime enjoy the prettier pic. ^.^

erm..this caught my attention but how do you take off the vest? O.o I don't see a ziper or button where you can detach the vest from yourself.

The leather breastplate was molded to my torso - one piece for the front, two for the back - stitched together at the sides and I have to be laced into it in the back. Essentially the chestpiece itself acts as a corset.

it's a mix right now (and truth be told, I'm bad about keeping tabs on the weight itself). The hide used for Mated" was what I refer to as "pretty damn thick" - about 1/4" - which the rest will be put towards a stylized lorica. The stuff I'm using now is probably somewhere around 3/16" in general thickness.

aah, that explains the depth of your engraving. All of your work is gorgeous...I wish I had more time to work on my stuff. I have a commish I've been working on for 6 months- a head stall for a horse (add bit and you have bridle) and I hope to have pics up in a couple of weeks. Still nothing like yours though. *drools in leather envy*
