Description: The Crusader Medium Close Support Fighter is a carrier based fighter/bomber. Also known as Guardian Angel by ground troops, the Crusader excels at targeting and destroying enemy units on the ground. This fighter is heavily armored against surface to air weaponry. Recently developed, the Crusader has already proved its worth in multiple engagements in the outer colonies.

Since the Crusader is so heavy, it is slower than the average fighter, making it extremely vulnerable to enemy aircraft. Earlier versions of the Crusader suffered casualties as soon as enemy fighters moved into the rear arc of the formation, lacing the engines with explosive ammunition. The most recent model of the Crusader features a rear mine/munitions launcher that fires an air to air flak mine. The mine is equipped with friend-or-foe identifiers and infrared seekers that help it intercept enemy aircraft and detonate, filling the air with razor shrapnel guaranteed to perforate any fighter that gets caught in the blast radius. The launcher is also equipped to drop other munitions, such as the "Golf Ball" plasma grenade, in a spread pattern on the ground.
