Yep, undertaking a huge Power Rangers project. I have written a comic book which re-tells the origin of the Power Rangers. Basically, I wanted to make a version of the original story that wasn't unbearably cheesy. To that end, all of the characters have had their personalities re-written, nearly everything has been redesigned and the stories begun from scratch.Words can not prepare you for how awesome it is going to be.
The estimated completion date of this 40 page comic is August 29th, 2008.
Look for more preview art soon. And don't worry, Zach is the only one with anything which remotely resembles a cape.

It usually helps if you watch episodes 17-22 of the original Japanese Zyuranger series when you come to the Green Ranger story arc, wherein like in the original you could have Lord Zedd brainwash Tommy into thinking that it was Jason who was responsible for the death of his parents two years ago, and thus the whole wanton revenge thing takes hold.

Nice really nice it brings Zack into a whole new light. This is cool and it's bold my god there is no way it could be any better. You've given his costume a wow not just an okay but a truly great picture. If I was an art expert I'd give this a 10 out of 10

Ha, I don't know about that. Zedd's the main villain, and he's pretty American :S. All I really tried to do was take out as much campiness as I could and instill some character into the Rangers. Unfortunately, I suck at drawing faces so not a lot of the comic exists outside of a script. Too many unmasked scenes. I'm confident I'll get it done someday though.

Heh, similar to something I'm attempting. I'm writing a treatment for an alternate continuation to the original series with a more serious tone, that replaces the Zeo arc and takes into some dark territory. When Jason comes back (along with Kimberly and Trini) from the peace conference and displaces Rocky as the Red Ranger, Rocky slowly goes revenge-driven insane, takes on a second identity, and starts hunting the original Rangers. They have to figure out whodunit, and put him down.

Wow that's really something. he almost looks like a cyborg. Some of the designs reminds me of the Phantom Ranger from Turbo.
