Hello everybody,
this is my first meme and first upload for this month, with the template once again being provided by the amazing DA brother, darknessawakens13 . Thanks a lot to him! Today, we're covering my 10 most favourite characters in fiction, be it live-action or animated, a protagonist or an antagonist. Before we start, here are a couple rules:

1. For this list, ONLY canon characters count. That means no semi-canon and/or fan characters (OCs).

2. ONLY one character per series, film or franchise.

3. Lastly, the order here is a 100% RANDOM. No character is really "above" or "beneath" others.

Without further ado, let's get this fun list started.

10) Bella ("A Dog's Way Home") - Bella is the main character of the 2019 movie "A Dog's Way Home", originally adapted from a book of the same name. Raised by cats from a young age, Lucas and Olivia adopted her. Shortly after, due to being mistaken for a pitbull, she gets separated from her master and embarks on a long journey to get reunited with him. Bella becomes the adoptive mother of a female cougar named the Big Kitty along the way. One thing that makes Bella likeable, is not only her cuteness, but also her playfulness, loyalty and courage. Both the book and the film are great, I suggest you check them out with your kids and family.

9) Yumi Ishiyama ("Code Lyoko"/"CL: Evolution") - Yumi is a teenage Japanese girl and the older sister of Hiroki, who attends the Cadic Academy and is also a part of Lyoko Warriors. She's the love interest of both Ulrich Stern, whom she claims to be "just good friends" with, and William Dunbar, whose attemps at flirting she rejects. Yumi is a powerful warrior with many cool abilities and weapons and she's not afraid to use them. A fun, sporty and mature character all around.

8) Tommy Pickles ("The Rugrats") - I've talked about Tommy before in a past meme, so, I'll keep it brief here. In a nutshell, Tommy is an infant and the leader of the Rugrats gang. He's an adorable, imaginative, sweet baby. When he's older, he develops a crush on Kimi. He appears both in the original "Rugrats", as well as "All Grown Up!" spin-off and the latest reboot. 7) Angel ("The Lady and the Tramp II") - Angel is a small puppy who once was a part of the Junkyard Dogs. She later develops romantic feelings for Scamp - Tramp and Lady's son. The reason I love Angel is not only her beauty, but also her easy-going, clever, sweet personality. I remember first seeing a music video featuring her as a child and I've grown to love her ever since.

6) Dan Kouzo ("Bakugan: Battle Planet" & "Armoured Alliance") - Dan Kouzo is the counterpart of Dan Kuso from original "Bakugan". He's the oldest member and leader of Awesome Brawlers. Dan is a Pyrus brawler and his Guardian Bakugan is Drago. His cuteness is not the only thing I like about him, but also his unrepressed bravery and determination, which are certainly admirable qualities to have. (Side note, I ship him a lot with Lia Venegas. But that's a topic for another day. ).

5) Nala ("The Lion King" franchise) - I've talked about Nala twice in the past, so - again, I'll try to keep this one ultra-brief. She's a brave, intelligent, fierce lioness, a great Queen of Pridelands, mother of Kiara and Kion and Simba's wife. She endured a lot of horrors under Scar's reign and is certainly a worthy, noble fighter.

4) Lightning McQueen (the "Cars" franchise) - needless to say, I was FAZED about him as a little girl (under 6). He's a red racer car and the protagonist of most of the "Cars" films. The thing I admire about him is his growth as the main character - he goes from a young and arrogant racer who wants to win the big prize to a much more humble, mature figure in the first film, only to face the reality of getting old and possibly retiring in the third installment. That's a metric ton of development and conflict!

3) Cadpig ("101 Dalmatians: The Series") - as a child I was very into "101 Dalmatians", including the 1997 animated television series. One of my favourite characters was Cadpig, she just seemed to appeal the most to me. To put it shortly, Cadpig is a smart, but slightly eccentric puppy wearing a blue collar, arguably the most sensible of the three main siblings (when she's not swayed by strong emotion, that is). I can easily applaud the TV series not only for its comedy, but also for how they fleshed her out, compared to the original movie.

2) Freezbone/"Freez" (from "Freefonix") - this absolute gem of a British cartoon has a lot of wonderful character, but I chose Freezbone for the sake of this meme. I like the fact that not only is he mature and relaxed, but also his guitar skills. By playing his cherished electric guitar named "Misty", he can persuade people to do what he wants. Oh, and his voice is just phenomenal, both talking and singing.

1. Kyoya Tategami ("Metal Fight Beyblade") - I've talked about this chap before, so once again, I'll keep it sweet and short. Kyoya is a powerful blader with an amazing bey, Leone, and a wild personality. He may be a bit emotionally distant, even being the antagonist of first few episodes of "Metal Fusion" (!) , but he cares about his friends deep down. He also looks amazing and is very brave.
