The colors still bother me... I hope a pro would tell me what I could do better. Thanks!!

I would love to see them merged with the red / blue orb, tearfully forced the millennia-old struggle Ocean against landmass to join...

pretty cool drawing! But i can help you with colours

I see that in saphire's hair, it's the same tone around the edge. When using shading, you have to pretend light is shining on them from somewhere, so only the bit furthest away from the light source needs a dark outline. however, the bit that is closer might need a lighter outline.

Also, the big splotch of shading around the nose. They look like they have a cold *someone get a tissue!*
jks

otherwise it's fine

Wow, you are sure good at coloring.

And umm.... I don't really understand about the hair thingy.

I know what you mean, but could you tell me, if you were me, where would you put the light? (Because I don't know where the shine should be, so I erased it.)

And the nose.... Heh heh.... I guess I overshaded it

Maybe I should've make the surroundings darker.

Anyways, thanks for the advice!!

thanks

for the light thingy, you have to imagine a shine outside the picture, so the only evidence of a light is in the colouring.

picture this:

*shine*

-----(lightblue)
---------(blue)
------------(darkblue)

so the light blue is the glare from the shine, and the dark blue is like a shadow. Remember, with every light, there is a shadow.

Stick to this and you'll pick up tone in no time
