Description
The idea behind this picture is that after Tikal sealed herself into the Master Emerald, (or Black Emerald if you follow Archie Comics) she plunged into the green abyss, never to be seen again. The realization is the most painful part....Okay, so I was attending yet another LiveStream by =R-no71 , and randomly asked, "What character should I draw?" Arnaud replied, "Tikal." Thus, this was born. I had a sketch made and my original idea was probably someone like Sonic reaching up to grab a ring or something cheesy like that.
So what do you guys think? I'm getting better at using Sai's effects. =w=

I have to say that this piece shows off a lot new techniques, mainly in lighting effects and perspective.
Goodness knows how you've done it, but the view of perspective is incredible, I wouldn't be able to pull that off in a million years!
Tikal is obviously confused in her current situation; she doesn't know what's happening and is reaching out for someone to save her from falling, or she wants to be pulled out of the Master Emerald.
The lighting effects are brilliant, especially as the crystal effect, but I think that Tikal could use some more shading, and her bracelet could have had some shine on it.
The drawing itself is well done, you fit in all of her small details, and her facial expression is very powerful.
I think that the only real error on this is with the front dreadlock nearest to her hand; it doesn't follow the same shape as the others and thins out too quickly.

Spending eternity within the Master Emerald is surely no picnic, but I'm sure she was aware of the consequences when she made the decision.
I just hope she's got access to a toilet in there...eternity is a mighty long time to go without one...

Poor Tikal had to endure so much pain and sorrow, it's always heartbreaking to see her suffer like that.

*quick words* People are saying something is going on with the face because they never saw Echidna's with they're quills up. That is what they really look like.
I think this looks very good. You got the falling wind going on with the quills, shirt, and necklace. Perfect.
