Description
Basically, I'm a fan of 's High Roller series, even if it hasn't come out. I absolutely love role playing in the HR chatroom, and figured that I should just go ahead a make a reference of HR Sandra. I'm too lazy to design another character, so I just changed her clothing. HR Sandra uses the exact same color scheme as regular Sandra (the green/gray color is for her gun's handle).
Here comes a modified bio for her...
Sandra Belle Divert
(Goes by Sandra)
Age- 19
Gender- Female
Species- Grey Wolf
District- 1
Weight- 123lbs/56kg
Height- 5'3"
Weapons-
The Lock-On
Sticky Bombs
High Roller stats
Agility: 9/10
Fire Rate:6/10
Power: 4/10
Defense: 2/10
Personality:
Sandra's a sarcastic one, and lives on thrill. She can be short tempered at times, but can console her friends when she has to. She's a tomboy at heart, and, upon entering High Roller matches, is trying to prove that she doesn't have to wear a dress to win as a girl. Well...she has a habit of challenging others to High Roller, even if the chances are slim that she'd win. She doesn't drink often, but likes to go to bars to watch drunk people. It's an aquired hobby.
Her weaponry is based off the game Twister ([link] , so she has very odd chances at winning. What she lacks in height and upper body strength, she makes up for in speed. Her gun, the Lock-On, is designed to be able to keep up with how fast she moves. However, her defense is bad, so one hit can put her down for quite a bit of time. She has achulophobia, (the fear of the dark), and is known to become finicky and shaky when there aren't many lights (read below). She also has congenital ansomia, which leaves her with no sense of smell due to an inherited gene. No sense of smell can be handy in the arena, but not good in real life. She can't sense too much carbon monoxide like other wolves.
The Lock-On (This is not finalized, as I am planning on changing some components)
When the hammer is pulled back, a disk shape appears with 16 sections-4 red, blue, yellow, and green. This disk stops after a few seconds. The arrow on the hammer points to a section. The color depends on what happens. Each shot (except for the Jackpot move) all depend on Sandra's aim.
1 yellow (1)-Quick electric shot goes up Sandra's arm, paralysing her for a couple seconds. No damage is dealt to the opponent.
1 blue (2)-Gun jam.
1 red (3)-Not too big of a shot. Maybe a light punch, if it hits.
1 green (4)-This feels like a punch. It still isn't strong enough to cause bad damage, but it's enough to knock an opponent off their feet if they're not careful.
2 yellow (5)-A small ball of electricity is fired.
2 blue (6)-A moderate ball of electricity is fired.
2 red (7)-A large ball of electricity is fired.
2 green (8)-Same as 2 red, but with a large discharge around it.
3 yellow (9)- A shot with a small range of paralyzing the opponent for a couple seconds in whatever body part they were hit in. No damage is dealt.
3 blue (10)- A shot with a moderate range of paralysis. This stops the opponent for a few seconds. No damage is dealt.
3 red (11)- A shot with a slightly bigger range than blue's. It can stop the opponent for about five seconds. No damage is dealt.
3 green (12)- A large paralysis shot. If the opponent gets hit, they'll lose feeling in whatever part of the body they got hit with, as well as a few adjacent areas, for roughly ten seconds. Like the past three, this does no damage.
4 yellow (13)- A quick "explosion" of electricity. If fired too close, then Sandra has the chance of hitting herself.
4 blue (14)-An electrical landmine can be fired onto the ground. It becomes invisible until stepped on, and can even knock an opponent over. However, Sandra must keep track of it, since she can get shocked by it as well.
4 red (15)-The biggest normal move Sandra can get. This shot is normally fired at the ground, and upon impact, begins to spread across the ground as if several bolts were hopping.
4 green (16)-Sandra's jackpot move. A large blast, roughly 2x larger than 4 red, is shot out. It can't miss, but can be deflected or "tricked", by quickly moving behind a barrier.
Upon pulling back the hammer on her gun, she can't retry for another shot. Until she fires whatever was spun, Sandra can't attack.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sticky Bombs
Little orbs with four even sections-yellow, blue, red, and green. They activate by a small black spot on the orb, that, when pressed, begins to flash. The Bomb is then hurled at the opponent. Each bomb has a 50% chance of sticking, but can be generated every 10 seconds from Sandra's necklace. Whichever side it sticks on the opponent with depends on the effect. The black spot does not stick up, so there isn't a chance to stick with that side.
Yellow- Dud, but it can still get in the opponent's way depending on where it is on them.
Blue- Minor shock
Red- The Bomb heats up according to the opponent's body temperature, causing a burn if not gotten off quick enough.
Green- The Bomb explodes on impact
After 5 seconds of hitting the opponent, the bomb disappears.
Biography (edited for High Roller)
Sandra Divert was born on the outskirts of District 9 to Ron and Carrie Divert, a well-known mechanic, and a botanist. She was born with a rare case of congenital ansomia, which means that she has no sense of smell, which caused her parents to be a bit more overprotective of her, especially because of Goldenlight City's surroundings. Carrie homeschooled her from then on, and taught Sandra gardening skills from her work, while Ron continued with his mechanic profession. As a young child, stories of High Roller matches were fascinating to Sandra, but her parents warned her that it was a dangerous sport, and told her to never play it.
On Sandra's 10th birthday, terrible news came to the Divert household. Carrie Divert had been caught in a car accident and died.
Ron Divert was devastated. He began separating himself from the world by being locked up in his workshop for days at a time, and took upon drinking, leaving Sandra by herself. She took her homeschooling into her own hands, and began learning how to do normal chores, such as cleaning and cooking, all by herself. In a sense, Sandra had been forced to grow up. As she got older, she brought up the possibility of participating in High Roller matches to help bring money into the family, but Ron dismissed her every time. It wasn't until Sanda turned fifteen years old that his thoughts would change.
As she was walking home from the store at night, three men mugged her. She was beaten up, robbed, and her left ankle was broken, and then thrown into an alleyway to die. All night, no one heard her or had seen a thing. The alleyway was pitch black, and it traumatized her by giving her achulophobia, the fear of the dark. In the morning, some locals spotted Sandra, and rushed her to the hospital. Ron was quickly phoned in on the situation. At the hospital, he kept apologizing for not being there for her for the past five years, and vowed that he would change.
Over this time, Ron had received a phone call and was needed in District 1 for his famous mechanic skills, so he and Sandra moved.
After Sandra could walk without her cast on her ankle, Ron began to teach her how to use martial arts for when he wasn't there to protect her. During the training, Sandra brought up High Roller again. "You mean that messed up sport that's been dying off? Are you sure you can't just become a doctor?" She made an agreement that if High Roller became popular within the next five years, he would have to make her a weapon for the sport.
When Sandra was almost nineteen, Adam Vegas from District 13 sparked High Roller again with his victory over Captain Johannes Vaylor, the leader of that District.
Her father finally gave in and made designs for a gun that dealt with a game she had loved to play when she was younger, featuring four colors and a spinner. The designs of the Lock-On were completed on her nineteenth birthday, and were given to her as a present. Afterwards, she began training, hoping to compete in an official High Roller match in the future. She would spar against some neighborhood wannabe's, and decided that, as that "Vegas guy" from 13 kept fighting, she would, too.
Of course, as she fought, Sandra wanted revenge on those three who had mugged her...

She has quite a unique design and a very intriguing backstory. I never thought the game of Twister would be used for a High Roller character, but you have definitely made it work.

Thank you!
I didn't, either... I mostly went with it because her original design has red, blue, yellow, and green in it. XD

You are very welcome!
Having a character use Twister will definitely put a spin on things (no pun intended). Oh, did I mention I also like Sandra's color scheme?

It's literally the same one I used on her original, non-FC design. But thank you once again! ^^

Sorry, I had no idea about that; Sandra is new to me, so I had just taken a look at your profile to find out (I am also new to High Roller, so I found out about her today).
And, again, you are very welcome!

Heh, gotta say she looks really keen, real progress from the sketch we saw earlier! Her outfit's really keen, has a nice design for the High Roller universe, all snazzy n' neat...sorta reminds us of Yu-Gi-Oh XD But ja, her outfit's really sweet and it's keen to see another fellow High Roller character; nice work, well done
*sing* "...Look at me, I'm Sandra D, lousy with virginity..." <3 [that moment will probably never die XD]

I didn't intend to make her design like Yu-Gi-Oh or anything, actually. I don't know, I just like drawing vests. But thank you! ^^

Nice design. I like how her outfit colors match the ones from the game Twister. That's an unusual choice of game to base a weapon on, but you seem to have made it work pretty well.

well damn, Never in a million years would I have guessed there would be a HR character based off twister, which is quite frankly brilliant. The design and bio is fantastic as well

I loved the game Twister when I was younger, and thought it'd be interesting, even if I don't remember winning a single round in my life. Thank you!

It takes me forever to think of any sort of backstory. Usually, I don't make them until I digitally draw the character for the first time. Thank you!

Here's something REALLY freaking weird, you can't make a backstory until AFTER you draw them.
Alright, so, I have a HUGE complex, really interesting back story for ALL of my characters but when it's written down it comes down to a paragraph or less ._.
Even AFTER a post up their ref theirs only a LITTLE change to it QAQ

I would try spacing things out to give the illusion of everything being longer. For instance...
And so, .....yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...yadda yadda yadda...blahblahblah...asdfghjklqwertyuiopzxcvbnm...
And then, that's when he knew that his life would change.
He began by ...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz...abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz...snhjfdhjg szfthjvszhvbz.
That's a pretty common style that I've used, with breaking a paragraph to give a bit of a different feeling to the reading. If not, try going here: [link] . You can find a few different plots and stuff and maybe end up extending your characters' backstories.
Of course, I nearly failed English class this past year, so you don't have to listen to me.

Eh, Don't we all?
But what your saying (in short) is to Extend upon the information already given but reword it in different forms.
Their, see? That explanation was SO much easier than the one you gave
