Derpy humanized, sort of xD i kept her more pony then the other ones ive done, why you ask? because i can
also, the muffin has a smily face :3 i think derpy would rather be friends with the muffins then eat them, at leat id hope so if the muffin has a face.

shes a background pony. She was fan-named Derpy Hooves although in the show they did call her "Derpy" in an episode but there was some big outrage with ITunes thinking it was offensive and they had to redo her voice and take out the name. www.youtube.com/watch?v=27aCcPβ¦
Theres nothing mean spirited about her name, she is just a clutz so it suits her. just like any other pony whose personality matches their looks. If people are finding this offensive then why hasn't Patrick been removed from spongebob or Ed from Ed Edd n Eddy? both of them obviously are short a few brain cells and know one thinks they are offensive enough to be censored

no not at all, and even if she was everyone would still love her all the same. She is unique and its nice to have some diversity in a show.Β
If anything Hasbro looked worse for changing her. More people complained that it showed that if someone is different we should change them because they arent "normal". I dont really know, to be honest i dont know of any children who would think anything is mean spirited about her. Kids would just find her cute and entertaining.
and Ed and Patrick were like the best characters xD I am not a fan of spongebob anymore but i still use old Patrick lines from the show and they still make me laugh xDΒ

that's good, yeah I don't think it would good for hasbro to be enforcing negative stereotypes about normality and beauty, look at all the crap barbie has had to take over the years! Are all the ponies from different backgrounds or something? I don't watch the show but it is interesting to see what the fans come up with sometimes.

And yes they do all come from different backgrounds for the most part. its pretty glossed over at times or not addressed directly. Like example we know that their ruler (god or whatever you want to call her 
But a lot of it is just fan speculation like another mane character pony, AJ, runs a farm with her siblings and grandma but there never is a mention of the parents so fans just assume they have passed away(though i doubt that. kids show and all)Β
Its what makes the show interesting, its not your typical kids cartoon with dumb shit happening. there are story lines that even know they are watered down for the target demographic they are still intelligent and worth the watch. Β
