I never got a Qiraj mount, but I heard that in Cataclysm, they're making the previously legendary (orange) Qiraj mount into an epic (purple) mount.
It's still just as fast as it was before, and changed nothing except the color of the name, but I still think Blizzard should have just left it as "legendary".
Check out "phrog801" on YouTube sometime. He's a blood elf warlock who sings WoW-themed parodies of popular songs. I may have already told you that though...

Well I have that mount, the item is legendary but once he's in your spell book as a usable mount he's not anything, he's a spell not an item.
