This is generally why I avoid the part of DA. People are way too out of control with it and pretty much the reason people don't take artist seriously on DA -_- I use to think people were just being a little too harsh on them but when you actually see it first hand you finally get why people hate closed species and adopts so much. That false sense of superiority and entitlement, it's right up there with people accusing each others of stealing "their" style.
