A couple of icons for StageSelect of the cuties Jay and BarnabyI actually really like how these came out! The animation was a bit fiddly bit I'm quite happy with how they ended up. :}
The backgrounds do like in a way, theyre of the same area in two different times of day. I've put a picture of them in with the separate icons, which are here:

Ahahah youre very welcome! I'm actually quite surprised to hear that people apparently never get Jay's skin right xD
I originally had both backgrounds the same colour as Barnabys, but it just clashed with Jays colour palette, so I decided to make that one more complimenting to him. The original worked really well for Barnaby though!

We actually had to darken his skin because someone told us he "wasnt black enough to be considered a person of color"
and therefore they didnt have to use his set skin toneΒ
and so, we made him darker XD
but still we have people that white wash him ;n; It's discouraging but when lovely people like you
follow the color palates it makes it all worth it!
Barnaby is that character that can go with either color scheme because of his white hair XD
Im sorry Jay gave you some trouble, he gives us trouble all the time.
There is actually a joke we have that "it isn't sugar free unless jay is giving you shit"
so he's always keeping up on that

Wow, someone actually said that? I mean if you're being paid to draw someone then the least you should do is do it properly. It's not up to me what colour something on them is, it's up to their owner. Consciously deciding not to follow the design you've been given(and paid!) to work with is quite rude in my opinion.
Like, its seriously not hard to follow a colour palette. Especially when its right there on the ref. xD
But yes they are both lovely and they were quite nice to do ^v^

I AM STILL SCREAMING. IVE BEEN STARING AT THESE FOR LIKE TEN MINUTES NOW. Thank you so much!! Everything about this is so gorgeous! Their poses, the motion is so fluid, this is so wonderful!! Even the backgrounds with Jay having more of a red hue and Barnaby's having blue, the day and night ;v; AhHhHHHHHHH--
You're also the only person who's ever taken the time to name them their names and not call them "White neko" and "black neko" as well as give Jay his proper skin tone.
