So I decided to give my character her own portrait! The style was actually kind of difficult to mimic but I kind of did it? Close enough xD
I dont usually get excited for releases but It's a great game and I bought it the very first day it came out. If you havent checked it out I would recommend doing so! The guy did such a good job on it and Im happy for him that his game was such a success, he definitely deserved it.

What sources did you look at for the villager portraits?

I believe it was the portraits of Caroline and Abigail, I had them right next to my canvas so I could pay close attention while I was working and get the style as close as I could
There tends to be two styles that don't quite match in the portraits and those two are good examples of them both; so I brought them both in and worked from there

I literally just drew it on a blank canvas xD
If you want specifics, I did it on paint tool sai with the binary pen, using a 64x64px canvas, and spent a lot of time looking at portraits of the villagers to try and mimic the style as closely as I could.
