Another snapshot. This is at the Rocher des Aigles in Rocamadour, France. It's a research center for birds. It tries to breed species that are on the brink of extinction. To raise money, they let tourists in to watch the birds. A couple of times a day, there's a show with falcons and vultures and the sorts, quite spectacular to see. This is a falcon captured in mid air. The water you see is only a few centimeters deep, but the bird drops like a stone from high in the sky and swoops down to grab a piece of meat... amazing.
