another image to compare colors from cubs to adults.here we have cub nala and tama, with their main pelt and underbelly colors in the background. compared to their adult forms, and their main pelt/underbelly colors.
just showing how different they become with age.

Sorry this is a late reply XD. I totally agree with you! If they wanted to make her older, keep her same colours of fur and eyes and make her structure larger ! Not making her lighter and a horrible eye colour.

they could have make like Sarabi in TLK1, she is not very different from "young Simba" to adult Simba, but you can see Sarabi (and Scar) is older in the ending and the beginning, but in SP... they are totally different lions...

I like very much! Some people say that Tama looks like Nala but I can't see how. Nala's ears are a bit bigger than Tama's. Tama is gorgeous and unique.

Actually, it has more to do with the lighting scheme than anything. In different lighting circumstances (in movies and in real life) the shade and hue of colors can vary quite a bit. Nala on the left is in the early morning when the sun is going to be fairly golden. Nala on the right might be in a cloudy region. The other explanation is in order to make those characters stand out in that scene or sink into the background, their saturation levels were played with. Nala is a focus in the scene on the left. On the right, she's merely scene dressing and thus can't be as crazy bright without drawing attention to herself.

The colours is different, really, but no so mush as this.
And I wonder how colours changes at real lions. )
But I think it's really more good. Some... allows to experience better a difference between cub and adult. )

Well, I love the way tamas colour is a mix between Nala and kiaras colours, cause believe me, I dont need another blondie running around. And yes, their pelts must change as they mature. Though, nalas colours aren't that different and her eyes have changed though that might have been an error in the animating! All I can say is that you have changed tamas colours perfectly :3

Wow so everything changes from cub - adult apart from the eyes? Or do they darken as well? And 1 more question, if a male cub has for example a red mane tuft, when hes a fully grown adult will it be darker? Its great that youre making these charts, it means we can draw tlk more accurately!

well as far as i have noticed, i dont think the eye color changes unless the character is in a different setting. like, nala's colors during the jungle scenes are more blueish, but they are still more green/blue acording to everything else (ignore the second movie!!)
and the hair does get darker i beleive from tail tufts/manes as they get older.
if u take simba's tail color as a cub and compare it to simba's mane/tail as an adult. i do believe that the colors are different.
and no probs xD i love doing these things and just exploring how the characters would look IF they were in the films xD

ahhh i see, i will bare that in mind! Its kinda annoying with the mane tufts because the only male who has one is Kovu, and his is really dark anyway. But yeah, I think youre right, they probably do darken with the rest of the body!

I love this and I would personally like to say thank you for transferring all the characters into "proper" colors so we can see what they would have looked like grown up/ in the movies.
