So I've only just heard about the concept of MerMay - a challenge where one draws a mermaid every day as a way to push one's creativity. It sounds like fun, and I'm going to do my best to join in - though only the digital ones will likely end up in here before the month in done.This one is a Deep One - a fantasy mermaid created by ancient Cthulu-like horrors. This one looks happy and playful - but that's only because she's about to eat your spleen.

Thanks! Being linked to the Dread Old Ones, she's a bit of a mishmash of features, but her feel is partly inspired by dolphins - wonderful, intelligent, playful killers par excellence.
