Description
You know you're in the zone when you forget to eat or drink for 7 hours...I really needed to prove that I wasn't a complete failure... since I can only manage D's in 3D Design class... So difficult...
I hadn't drawn anything for awhile and I decided this would be a good idea ^_^
So I was in the library for about 6 hours just doodling this... I was almost late to class by like ten seconds XD
The original idea I had was... just a simple jumping pose...
That idea evolved into a desire to draw some kind of Saluki and then it snowballed from there until here I am with a finished... whatever the hell this is :3
I hope people like it ^_^ There are a few details that are poorly done... (the hands and feet need work, I have no idea how to draw guns and designing outfits is NOT my forte... unlike Rarity )
There's my two bits...
This piece has lots of little "junk bits" that I need to learn how to prevent... Please excuse any you may find XD

The subtle impact of black & white is usually lost amongst the plethora of color palettes that fill the art world; it's good to see that the style is far from dead, especially witnessed in this work of art.
I like clear, well defined lines, and this work has that in spades - definition and depth all portrayed in unmistakable detail, shading that truly compliments the subject (in B&W work, that's ALL important) & even the gleam from the blade are all carefully put into place, adding up to one bad-ass subject, owning the night.
The look of grim determination is appropriately showcased, giving the idea that whatever it is she's headed off to do may not be what she wishes... but it MUST be done, no matter the cost. Sword- & gunplay to be expected, it looks like she's headed to the "big showdown" at the climax of the story... it's time to kick some tail & she's the problem-punter in charge!
This work speaks of classic Ronin-type stories, callbacks to the age of blades... with modern firepower! The facepaint... the flow of her hair & tail... the radiance... ALL are wonderful additions that may not SEEM vital, but take any one of 'em out & it wouldn't be complete. Wouldn't be WHOLE.
Which, to me, is where she's headed; to deal with an issue that will help her close a chapter of her life... to make her WHOLE again.
Good luck, brave warrior. The way you're depicted, they don't stand a snowball's chance in Hell.
