Description
My Open Category model for the UK Golden Demon '08.I loved making the Chaos Lord so much last year that i wanted to tackle the same kit again,but go to town on it...This is the result!
I wanted bigger,badder and more detailed...so i hit the bits box and a bit of sculpting.
Instead of boring you with all the details,i'll wait for questions,and answer them...
He made finalist in the Open,which,considering the levels of excellence this year,im very pleased with

Not accusation, just comment. I simply like dark shadows and harder contrasts when I paint. What do you use as a filler for your conversions?

I use the miniature sculptor's choice of Green Stuff, and sometimes a mix of Green Stuff and Milliput

Thats an old plastic Ork shotgun from the GorkaMorka sprues
As to the face... i dont remember exactly, but im sure it was a Codex Grey basecoat, highlighted with the old Pallid Flesh and washed down with some Brown and Purple Inks

Well,when i first saw it...i thought "why not?" 
But also...i used it as a Kai Gun,which is described as a "large bolter type weapon"...i hooked it up with an MIU link to fit the age idea,rather than do an all out Daemon weapon,as it is supposed to be...

So, how big is this ?? It's supposed to be very small right? I'm kind of a no-nothing when it comes to this kind of art, but I really really like it and would love to try it someday .. I'm seriously thinking about just going to a store and getting myself one of these tiny sculptures and some paint, although I'd probably suck at it because I've never done it before.
Anyway .. this is awesome
