Same for me, infact it's taken me quite a while to get good at hair, let alone Bee Gee's hair. Going on a mad Bee Gees image finding spree didn't hurt I'll tell you that much!

Fwak woman! You are too brilliant! XD I love those sideburns, fuzzy guys = 70's love I have to say that before I saw your art, I was much more into 20's - 30's style men, but you have converted a part of me to 70's

DJCoulz In reply to IndigoKelpie [2012-04-20 04:08:06 +0000 UTC]

HAha awesome. I always find it amusing things I get people into, and the 1970's has got to take the cake, it's not everyone favorite haha.

I dunno why but the color explosion, oversized collars, funky beats, high heeled shoes, bell bottoms, swanky suits, chest hair, giant gold medallions, men jewelry, side burns, and long wavy hair. There's just something about it I love. That and I somehow just love all the Orange, browns, and golds the whole era had. Even photos and film from back then looks like it was developed using yams. XD

XD Yam photos, they would stink after sitting in an album.

I understand, it's almost like the time after people first found coloured clothes - the 60's was so bright and the 70's was kind of the die down of that, but still oh-so-awesome There was a book I saw a little while back, I think it was called 'How they wore the 70's' and it was about all the fashions shown in the movies of the time

The 30's, 60's, and 80's were all very colorful and all followed by dull versions of the last era, 30's everyone wore colors, and were very well coordinated, then the 40's with the war and all it was back down to duller cheaper fabric. 60's you had so much color and the 70's was almost like the rusted version of the 60's, same amount of color, just alittle more rust and warm tones. Then you had the 80's which were just crazy colorful, and the 90's were like the faded demien old over sized clothes left over from the 80's.

And that sounds like a book I should own. XD I must find it. I'm a mens fashion addict haha.

Exactly C: I just love the really brightly coloured dresses of the 60's as well, I'd love to have something like this [link] XD Thing is though, that every time a certain fashion comes back 'in', it has changed quite considerably since the people who made it, wore it. I find it hard to find real vintage style clothes, especially ones that fit me, but hey-ho XD

And yeah! I'm sure saw it somewhere, I've tried searching for it but no such luck XD I hope I wasn't imagining it!
