One more thing. Never the pink erasers. Black or the graphite eraser, its like putty and you can get into those little spots in your drawings...hope that helps...

I'm not sure of the type of paper I use because I've been drawing in the same journals for years know and those labels are long gone. But I do use all pencils, graphite, #2, and mechanical 5.7. I'm sure I use a mech. pencil when I drew this one.
