So, I'm back from holiday! Loved it in Italy, but the 40 degree celsius was a little much for me...
I keep my promise, so here's a huge chapter for the Blake story

Third POV

It had been a few days since (y/n) met his team and moved in with them. They had spent the days with talking and getting to know each other. Everyone had their own unique way of being his friend. Yang was basically like a older sister to him, she always wanted to help him and practice with him. Ruby was your typical younger sister, who always wanted to join in on whatever you planned and wanted to add some things (cookies mainly). Weiss was still cold, but nice in her own way. She would call him a dunce or dolt, but helped him when he needed it. Last there’s Blake. In those few days they had grown really close, doing basically everything together, whether it was hanging out, talking or even reading some books. Together they formed a stronger team RWBY, which integrated their fifth member incredibly well. They gave some ideas for new attacks and practiced with him. They even shared most of their back-story. Classes however were about to start back up, so their fun gets cut short.

(y/n): So, what now?
Blake: Classes start back up tomorrow.
Ruby: All the more reason to have more fun today!
(y/n): You already have something planned do you?
Ruby: Maybe, maybe not.
Weiss: Last time this happened it frightened me a little. Should I be the same today?
Ruby: Come one, Weiss! Trust me! Really, what could be bad about going to a water park?
Yang: That sounds amazing!
(y/n): YES!!! Does it have slides?!
Ruby: Many!
(y/n): *gasp* Weiss, we have to go!!!
Weiss: I’m actually pretty fond of water parks. They were one of the better parts from being a part of our family.
Blake: It does sound fun.
(y/n): Let’s go!
Yang: Hold on, tiger. We have to prepare everything. Should we ask the others as well?
(y/n): I can prepare every--- wait, others?
Weiss: Haven’t you met team JNPR yet?
Ruby: Or even Sun and Neptune?
(y/n): Uhm….. I don’t believe I have. Are they nice?
Blake: They are.
Ruby: Let’s go to the cafeteria. They should be there right now.
(y/n): Yay, more friends!

And thus team RWBY+1 (yes they’re actually called that) heads towards the cafeteria to introduce (y/n) to everyone else.

Upon arrival everyone was still talking to each other. One had blonde hair and seemed a little insecure. He had a brown hoodie covered with armor. Next to him sat a red-haired girl. She wore bronze armor which seemed like it was roman. She had this friendly feeling around her. On the opposite side of the table sat a boy and a girl. The boy had black hair with a magenta streak in the middle. He seemed either calm or uninterested. Next to him was a orange-haired girl. She seemed really hyper and energetic. Lastly there were two guys standing at the head of the table. The first one had blue hair and wore a red leather jacket. The other had blonde hair and a monkey tail.

Sun: Sup losers!
Ruby: Hey Sun!
Yang: Yo
Jaune: We haven’t seen you in a while. Something wrong?
(y/n): I sure hope not…
Ruby: Guys, this is (y/n). He is our new teammate.
Sun: Aren’t you a little late to join a school for Huntsmen and huntresses?
Neptune: How come you’re their fifth member?
(y/n): Well, Ozpin said that it would be a waste to have someone with my skill not get the chance to enter Beacon. As for the fifth member ---
Yang: There weren’t any others who were late, so I volunteered our team to have him join.
(y/n): Still grateful for that.
Jaune: It’s nice to meet you. My name’s Jaune Arc, and I’m the leader of team JNPR

He then extends his hand for (y/n) to shake. (y/n) Accepts is and shakes his hand. Jaune then points to the rest of his team.

Jaune: *points to Pyrrha* This is Pyrrha Nikos. She is a world renowned fighter who has won multiple championships.
Pyrrha: Hello!
Jaune: *points to Ren* The silent one is Lie Ren.
Ren: Hi
Jaune: * points to Nora* And the hyper girl is Nora Valkyrie.
Nora: I’ll break your legs!
(y/n): Uhm…. Please don’t? I guess?
Ren: Nora!
Jaune: Don’t worry, she doesn’t mean it. She’s just … a little weird.
Sun: My name’s Sun! And the guy with blue hair is my best buddy, Neptune!
(y/n): It’s so nice to meet you all! Anyways, Ruby hurry.*whiney* I wanna go!
Ruby: Right! We wanted to ask if you all wanted to come with us to the water park. We wanted to celebrate the last day before school.
Jaune: Sounds good!
Neptune: We can come.
Sun: What about you Blake? Would you like it if I came?
Blake: *uninterested* You can come if you want.
(y/n): Heh, have I ever told you that I think it’s cute when you act like you don’t care?
Blake: *blushes* S-Shut up you.
(y/n): This is even better! *smiles*
Sun: *growls*…

Blake punches him in the face. She had herself looked like she was a tomato, though.

Ruby: Guys! Water park, remember?!
Neptune: Shall we?
(y/n): YES!
Ruby: Let’s go then!

Everyone took their time to prepare. The time spent in the air-bus was pretty short. The girls all tried to look their best in the bathing suit, while the boys displayed their muscular build. Sun tried his best to start a conversation with Blake, but got rejected every time he tried. Neptune was busy complimenting Weiss, while Jaune sat near them taking notes. Ren, Nora and Pyrrha were talking about some dream Nora had. Ruby and Yang played some random game, while (y/n) stared out of the window, thinking about everything he wanted to do. He did steal a glance at a certain cat-faunus every now and then. When everyone got out they stood in front of the massive gate from “Vale Water Wonder World”.

Ruby: Woah…
(y/n): It’s huge!
Yang: You said it.
Jaune: Should we just go in?
Blake: Might as well.

When they entered the park they were immediately greeted with the sight of multiple water slides, a huge pool for swimming races and some places where you could eat. The group began by searching for a spot with 10 beds next to each other. It took a while but they eventually found their ideal spot, half was covered in shadows with the other half in the sun. Blake immediately grabbed a book, but was stopped by Sun who dragged her towards a water slide. Everyone else followed them to the highest slide in the park. It was REALLY high, and seemed a little scary. It started by stepping in a chamber which would then drop you down into the slide.

Sun: You wanna go first, Blake?
Blake: *scared* I-I’ll wait a minute, kay? I need to, uh, wait for my team.
Sun: Fine by meeee----*gets dropped*

Blake let everyone go first, until only her and (y/n) were left. She still looked a frightened by the sight of the slide. (y/n) notices this.

(y/n): You okay, Blake? You don’t seem very happy.
Blake: To be honest, I’m a little scared.
(y/n): Can I help you with that?
Blake: I doubt that…
(y/n): We could go together. Would that help? *grinning* I’ll promise I’ll protect you.
Blake: *blushing madly* Uhm….
(y/n): Just kidding, but If you want I can ask if they’ll let you back down with the stairs?
Blake: Please.
(y/n): Now, could you step aside so I can ask? It’s kinda cramped here…
Blake: No prob----

As she stepped to the side to make room, she slipped and fell into the chamber. She grabbed onto (y/n) by reflex and pulled him into the chamber with her. Both blushed pretty bad, until the floor disappeared underneath them. They both fell and Blake screamed pretty hard. But it wasn’t from fear, rather from enjoyment. She liked the safe feeling from going down it with him. He on the other side had a less pleasurable experience. The slide wasn’t made to cover two grown-ups going down. At each time the tube combined, they would lean down a little. This made some really sharp edges, which cut into (y/n)’s back each time they passed. To protect her from any cuts (y/n) held her close to his chest.

They eventually finished going down the slide and Blake stopped screaming. Blake stood up out of the small pool of water, but (y/n) stayed on his back for a little longer. When she looked back she saw him motion to wait for him.

Blake: Don’t be so dramatic…
(y/n): Shut up, you were screaming the whole way. *silent* Man, that hurt…
Blake: What hurt?

She looks finally decides to turn fully towards him, only to see the pool he was in changing color. This color change was because of (y/n). His whole back was full of cuts.

Blake: Oh my god!!! Are you okay?!
(y/n): *cough* I might need some stitches. *cough* Is there first help station nearby?
Blake: *panicked* No, the nearest one is 20 kilometers away. I doubt you’ll make that.
(y/n): *pained groan* Can you stitch up my back?
Blake: I can do that! Wait, I’ve got nothing to stitch it up with.

(y/n) tries to sit up, but fails. Blake runs over and helps him to sit. Meanwhile all the other have come over to see what’s wrong. When they notice the color of the pool everyone starts to panic.

Ruby: (y/n)!!!
Yang: WHAT HAPPENED?!?!
Sun: Holy sht, man!
Weiss: WHAT did you do, you dunce!!

(y/n) gives them a pained smile and gives them a thumbs up. He then strains his other hand to make a really small needle appear. It’s followed up by some very thin roots curling around the needle.

(y/n): *Pained* here you go.
Blake: *panicked* O-O-Okay.
Yang: What are you doing?!
(y/n): Blake is going to stitch my back. Be still if you want me to be able to tell you what happened!

Everyone stays in their silent-panicked state while Blake tries her best to stitch (y/n)’s back. After a little while she’s finished.

Blake: I-I think I’m done.
(y/n): Thanks! I guess that won’t be any more slides for me then?
Blake: How can you joke about this?! *Tears appear in her eyes* You could have been dead!

And then Yang explodes, literally.

Yang: GUYS!!!
(y/n): Yeah?
Yang: WHAT. HAPPENED?!
Blake: At the top of the slide, when I was scared to go, (y/n) offered to ask if I could take the stares back down. He stepped aside to let me pass, but I tripped. I fell into the dropping chamber, and took (y/n) with me on reflex. I don’t know how he got his cuts though…
(y/n): Well, I guess the slide wasn’t made for 2 people at a time. I did feel some edges…
Ruby: But if you’re full of cuts, then why is Blake okay?
Blake: *suspicious* How am I okay (y/n)?
(y/n): *a little nervous* Well, when I felt the first edge I grabbed you tighter to my chest to keep you from any cuts. You are okay, right?
Blake: *blushes* Uhm … You could have died! Do you not realize that?!
(y/n): I do, but I’d rather hurt myself than see someone else in pain. But I’m fine, aren’t I? I mean, I’ll have to calm down a little but for the rest I’m completely fine!
Blake: *sigh* I guess even near death can’t change you. How about I join you in your calm activity?
(y/n): I’d like that!
Ruby: Uhm…
(y/n): *overdramatic* Go on without me! *smiles* But tell me the details.
Ruby: Thanks (y/n)! We’ll be sure to do that.
(y/n): Later guys!
Blake: Bye.

The two of them then walk back towards the towels. Blake lays herself down on one of the beds, while (y/n) goes to look for something in his bag. What he pulls out of it is more than a surprise for Blake. The object he brought with him was a book. He then walks a few feet away from Blake and turns towards her.

(y/n): Are you coming?
Blake: To where?
(y/n): To the lazy river. It’s a really relaxing one. You’re just floating around a river for a pretty long time.
Blake: Should I have brought a book?
(y/n): You can borrow my second one.
Blake: You actually brought two books? Every time we try to read under a tree you start doing something else after 5 minutes.
(y/n): I know, but here it’s to relax. When we read together, it’s about enjoying my time.
Blake: *blushes* W-which books have you brought?
(y/n): The Man with two souls and its sequel. Which one do you want?
Blake: You read those?
(y/n): Well, I’m about half way through the first part, but I really enjoy reading it.
Blake: Can I have the sequel? I’ve already read the first part.

He walks back towards his bag and grabs “the man with two souls two ‘the man with four souls’”. Then him and Blake walk towards the lazy river and grab a two-man-tube. They read in silence while enjoying each other’s company. After a good 10 minutes Blake decides to break the silence and starts a conversation.

Blake: How come you’re so different around me?
(y/n): I’m not exactly sure myself. *sad* But I think you remind me a little about my sister.
Blake: You never mentioned your sister before?
(y/n): That’s because she wasn’t really my sister. She was my first friend, but her family took me in. I then started seeing them as my parents and her as my sis.
Blake: What’s her name?
(y/n): Her name was Diana.
Blake: Was?
(y/n): yeah… She passed away a few years ago.
Blake: I’m sorry.
(y/n): No, some secrets aren’t meant to be kept. She… she got killed by grimm. She always had feeling towards me. When she wanted to tell me how she felt, we got attacked by grimm. The weapon I use was hers.
Blake: I think that’s a great way to honor her name.
(y/n): Yeah….

(y/n): My turn. Why do you wear a bow?
Blake: Because I like it?
(y/n): You sure that’s why?
Blake: No…
(y/n): Want to talk about it?
Blake: I do, actually. Like you said, some secrets aren’t meant to be kept. You remember the island where I came from?
(y/n): Yeah, why?
Blake: Because it’s actual name is Menagerie.
(y/n): So, that makes you a faunus right?
Blake: Yes, a cat Faunus to be exact.
(y/n): Can I see them?
Blake: What?
(y/n): Your ears. That’s you faunus part right?
Blake: How’d you know?
(y/n): When I protected your head I could feel something odd. I just couldn’t say exactly what.
Blake: You’re taking this rather well. I thought you would be at least a little upset about it.
(y/n): With all the faunus hate, I understand why you’d think that. But I’m me! I couldn’t hate anyone.
Blake: Thanks.

Some minutes pass as they both continue to read again.

(y/n): *whiney* Blake! I’m bored. Entertain me!
Blake: You have your book, right?
(y/n): I finished it. Can I pet your ears now?
Blake: *sigh* Fine…

He shoves over, closer towards Blake. She unties her bow and he gently touches her ears. He then proceeds to pet them very gently. Blake begins to purr a little as (y/n) continues. But Blake is persistent and continues the conversation.

Blake: *while purring* Why … did you … protect me in the … slide?
(y/n): *stops petting her* What do you mean?
Blake: You kept me against your chest to keep me away from the sharp edges, but why? We’ve only met a few days ago.
(y/n): You’re my teammate and more important, you’re my friend. I would never allow you to get hurt.
Blake: You say that, but would you do the same for the others?
(y/n): Ruby I would, because I see her more as a younger sister. Yang would probably hug me to death, *laughing* and Weiss would throw money to keep me away.
Blake: *laughs* But still…
(y/n): Listen, I’m not the easiest when it comes to feelings. You’ve seen that basically everything turns to happiness. This used to be way different. I can only be so cheerful because I promised Diana I’d try and laugh more. I’m rattling aren’t I?
Blake: Just a little. You were at ‘not the easiest with feelings’.
(y/n): Yeah, well, after everything I’ve been through. Can you blame me?
Blake: No, not really.

The end of the river comes into sight as the conversation continues.

(y/n): But still, there is this strange feeling when I’m near you. It’s really nice, but I don’t know what it is…
Blake: I might have an idea. Close your eyes.

He closes his eyes and she leans closer and closer until her lips make contact with his cheek. At that moment Sun comes walking towards them, unbeknownst to Blake. She blushes as red as Ruby’s cape, but she liked it. He opens his eyes.

(y/n): Did … did you just?
Blake: Yes… I gave you a kiss…
(y/n): I can’t say I didn’t like it. *smiles*
Blake: But, was that the feeling you meant?
(y/n): I felt it really strong. Does that mean it’s love?
Blake: If your face right now is any indication, than yes.

As soon as she said that they arrived at the end of the river and he runs towards a nearby mirror and sees his own face bright red. As he walks back towards Blake he sees a sad and mad Sun standing at the side. He decides to walk over and ask what’s wrong.

(y/n): Sun, right?
Sun: *annoyed* What do you want?
(y/n): *cheery* I came to ask what was wrong. You looked sad, upset, maybe even mad. *sheepish smile* Sorry, feelings aren’t really my strong suit.
Sun: Go away… I want to be alone.
(y/n): *sigh* If cheery doesn’t work, I guess I’ll keep it real.
Sun: What?

(y/n) sits down next to Sun.

(y/n): As happy as I sometimes seem, you don’t always have to buy it. Life has been, well, more than cruel to me. I’ve pretended to be happy for long, but here it’s starting to feel genuine.
Sun: Get to the point.
(y/n): You asked about real right? There’s my answer to my real, now tell me what bothers you.
Sun: *sigh* It’s Blake. I think I like her, but then I saw her give you a kiss…
(y/n): I’m … sorry.
Sun: You’re sorry?
(y/n): Yeah, I really am. I get it, I’m the new kid and you liked Blake for a while. If you’re serious about it, I think that you should talk to her. *cheerful* She’ll understand, trust me.
Sun: You’re making it really hard for me to hate you, you know.
(y/n): Then don’t! Whoever said rivals in love can’t be friends can suck one!
Sun: hehe, thanks (y/n). I really needed that.
(y/n): No problem. Enjoy the rest of the day. Later!
Sun: Bye (y/n).

And like that Sun no longer disliked (y/n), rather respected him. (y/n) walked off, back towards Blake.

Blake: Did that help?
(y/n): Uhm, yeah it did. The feeling intensified when you did that! What is it?
Blake: *giggle* It’s called love.
(y/n): I know love, but why is this one so much different?
Blake: Well, there are multiple types of love. There is familiar love, the feeling you have towards your family. Then there’s friendly love, which is basically liking someone. Lastly there’s what you have right now, this one is aimed at the one you want to be with , well, most of the time.
(y/n): That went real deep real quick. *laughs*
Blake: So, what do you think?
(y/n): Of what? You said the face was an indication right?
Blake: Yes?
(y/n): Well, *sheepish smile* you’d put Ruby’s cape to shame.
Blake: 0_0
(y/n): Haha, so what now?
Blake: *blushing madly* Will … you be my *gulp* boyfriend?
(y/n): I’d love to. But I think you know you have to talk to a certain someone about your feelings…
Blake: Yeah…
(y/n): What do we do about the others though? Tell them, or keep it secret?
Blake: They’ll find out when the time comes.

They sit next to each other in silence for a while, just enjoying each other’s presence. Until a certain team leader had to tell them something.

Ruby: GUYS!!! The pool closes in 5 minutes! We have to – what were you doing?
(y/n): NOTHING!!
Blake: Just talking…
Ruby: Kay, anyways the pool is about to close. We have to hurry if we want to catch the last air-bus!
(y/n): Shit, forgot about the time!

The three of them rush back towards the towels to see everyone else rushing as well. The girls quickly pulled some shirts and pants over their bikinis, while the boys put on a shirt. Blake and (y/n) were the last to finish dressing themselves and told everyone else to hurry towards the bus. When everyone but them entered the bus, the doors closed. (y/n) immediately grabs his scroll and dials Ruby’s number.

(y/n): Ruby! Why don’t they open up? We’re here right?
Ruby: He says you two were late. If we complain any longer we can’t come along…
(y/n): *sigh* Fine then.

He gives the driver ‘the finger’ and sticks his tongue out. The driver responds by happily waving goodbye to them and flying away.

Blake: What now?
(y/n): I might have an idea, but it isn’t pretty. For the surrounding at least…
Blake: Semblance?
(y/n): exactly! Remember the floating root island? We’ll use that. I can even add seats and increase its speed up till around the air-bus, I think.
Blake: It seems fine in theory.
(y/n): Let me focus for a moment okay?

She gives him a nod as he spreads his arms in front of him. The small root island appears again, but this time it grows bigger. Slowly some chairs start to take form on top of it. When he lowers the platform and they get in their seats, he creates some seatbelts for safety. As the platform takes flight it leaves a path of destruction in the forest underneath. Its speed wasn’t quite as fast as the air-bus, but it had quite some pace.

~+~Time Skip~+~

After a pretty long but comfortable ride back to Beacon, the newly formed couple finally arrived back at their home. The rest of their team already sat in their sleeping wear ready for bed. Blake and (y/n) enter the room whilst unknowingly holding hands.

(y/n): That day was awesome!
Yang: Oh? Care to tell us?
(y/n): Uh, I m-mean the w-water park of course. It was amazing!
Ruby: Why are you two holding hands?
Blake: Do not tell anyone else, please.
Yang: You’re in love! That’s so cute! Oh, we should probably tell you that –
(y/n): Blake is a Faunus, yeah, yeah she already told me. Yang, do NOT bug me to much with it, because I will prank you. *smiles*
Yang: *mocking* Awww, the lovebirds even think the same thing.
(y/n): Blake, how about we take Yang to the barber? She should have a nice short ---

Yang’s hair glows yellow and her eyes turn red.

Yang: DON’T YOU DARE!

(y/n) and Blake stop talking, stare at each other and just sigh. They both know that Yang would kill them if they prank her back, so they’ll just have to survive her mocking. Soon all of them went to their bed. When (y/n) went to his own room he first went to a small room filled with soil to practice his semblance. What he tried was creating a small heart made of roots that grew Belladonna flowers. His first few tries were not even close, creating some weird circles. Eventually he just gave up and went to bed.
