Drew this for the finale of Dreamworks Trollhunters. The ending was amazing, i was so sad to the point of tears.I hope to see the whole gang in 3below and possibly even meet for tacos like Jim promised.How cool would it be if he got tattoos....... OK I'm done ranting LOL.

Now that's what I call hitting puberty if you ask me; I think I love how his arc as a troll was showcase because he finally came to terms in being the heroic and fierce figure he was tasked to be from the beginning, how the challenges and hardships he endure were all directed to now be the Trollhunter he was meant to be

Being a hero, that part he expected. Just the turning into a troll part was a bit of a stretch.

Yeah, a certain stretch that had to be done for the fate of Arcadia, quitting his humanity was the last challenge he had to do

What really hit me the most in THAT moment was that, even with him not saying anything, you could visibly see how scared he was for everybody he wanted to protect, in particular his family and friends. What stood out to me was even as he heard those he wanted to protect the most desperately cry out for him to open the door, and in that moment, as much as he wanted to not go through with this transformation, he feared more about what would happen to them if he didn't. Even if Merlin said he was giving Jim a choice in that moment...come on now...we all knew he didn't. Now THAT part was a bit too far for me. But everything else in that ordeal was, in a sense, tragically beautiful the way it was done.
Going into the Darklands alone was one thing. But going through with this transformation for the sake of protecting those he loves and cares for the most was another thing entirely. Boy what a series this was, and this moment was the masterfully heartbreaking icing on the cake.

Indeed, I could not have said it better pal, those are the real hardships for a hero's journey, what you have to sacrifice in order to protect the ones you love, and that's why Jim is such a great character, because he's open to feel what the consequences might do to him, and despite having his fears, he accomplishes them for all the greater good.
Btw, I just finally watched 3Below, it was pretty awesome, looking forward to S2

OK now, 3Below is a pretty good series. In fact some moments had me really genuinely cracking up and laughing my guts out. But this is quite a different series than Trollhunters, even with these two sharing the same universe. It's pretty much, in my mind, an animated version of 3rd Rock. But I did enjoy Season 1 and I'm also looking forward to Season 2.

That's awesome, and I honestly like the fact that it's different from Trollhunters, like it gives it it's own sense of standalone identity despite being the same universe; it doesn't have the edge that Trollhunters have, but there's a lot in the story that carries the show very well

Good point on 3Below. My favorite character in THIS show is Prince Krel. Other than that, I'm in for as many Trollhunters characters' cameos as needed. That one episode where it's like Groundhog Day and stuff, with all the Trollhunters characters, I particularly enjoyed that episode.

That was a pretty good episode as well, though it's sad that they couldn't re-meet more properly after that, though it was awesome that Aja and Krel finally understood the meaning of "Trollhunter"
Also, I do love Krel as well, haha, that accent is quite funny

They were badass, I thought that it was a very notable progression for the characters, and well as making an expansion of the Arcadia world, how Aja and Krel became more brave in each other, and how the people of Arcadia accepted them for who they are, just dang good.

Same!! Like, I didn't expected that they would be able to bring him back to his former self in that way, but seeing how the Trollhunter amulet was at its practical destruction, it was foreseen that maybe there was that hope of Jim becoming human again. Something that made my jaw drop 😲.
I'm just sometimes baffled at how Arcadia doesn't get the attention it deserves, its so damn awesome!! And yes, I cannot wait for Rise Of The Titans
